Powered by the Sonos Amp
These passive outdoor speakers require an amplifier, and Sweetwater's audio installation experts recommend the Sonos Amp! With 125 watts per channel at eight ohms, the single-zone, aptly named Amp from Sonos is more than well-equipped to bring your speakers to life. Stream music via its integrated Wi-Fi or Apple AirPlay 2, or utilize its HDMI ARC connectivity for your TV-based setup. You can also easily connect an external audio device (such as a CD player or turntable) to the Amp's RCA inputs, and it also sports an RCA subwoofer output with a user-adjustable 50Hz–110Hz crossover. Much like other excellent Sonos products, the Amp uses Trueplay tuning technology to analyze the acoustics of your unique space and then optimizes its EQ to best match your setting. Should you wish to further adjust bass, treble, or loudness, you can do so effortlessly via the Sonos app. The Amp can also be controlled by a universal remote or your voice when paired with a voice-enabled device. Finally, the thoughtful, rackmountable design of the Amp enhances airflow for worry-free heat management.
