Reviews

Surprisingly Super Impressed
I purchased this cabinet on a whim and figured, at this price point; I'd throw new speakers in it if I didn't like it... I paired it with my PRS MT-15 and let me just say, this thing freaking throws down (I've replaced my Orange 2X12 with this), especially at live shows... At 16 ohms, it runs perfectly with the MT-15 (which is rated at 15 watts but, with 2 6L6s, is more in line with a 40/60 watt amp, trust me), and at live shows, this thing really brings out the tone of my guitar & amp... Plus, sound men/women love that I'm not pushing 100+ watts, through 2+ 4X12s (as most of my shows are at medium venues, such as theaters, etc.)... Love it and going to keep the speakers that are in it... May even sell my Dual Rec & cab...
Music background: Sludge / Doom Metal
Great sound!
I got this to pair with a Randall RH200 I found dirt cheap at a pawn shop but only had a 120w cab to play it through so needless to say I've never been able to crank it up til now. Thanks to this cab I'm hearing my amp for what it truly is and it's amazing! The cab sounds great and has a huge presence and I can feel the whole thing even at low volumes in my bones and wanting to shake the room. I know it's not an Origin head or whatever and I don't care, this cab really brought this Randall to life!! Thanks, Ryan and everyone at Sweetwater!
Music background: Guitarist and gear collector/hobbyist I guess..
Marshall Origin 4x12 b cabinet
A real nice surprise! Great dealing with Sweetwater Music. I've been playing 50+ years from Fender amps and Marshalls. I recently sold my Marshall 1987x full stack and was needing a nice Plexi tone once again. I bought an Origin 20 head (swapped out stock 12ax7's for Tungsol ones and JJ 12ax7 for phase invertor. Power tubes stock JJ EL34 fine)last September and when the matching cabinets were available I decided for a 1/2 stack this time. The head? Get one, learn it, takes pedals well, same tubes as high end Marshalls. Paired with the Origin 4x12 cab much more controlled for me. Great price for both head and cab. Many folks talk about replacing speakers to greenbacks. I have greenbacks in a Bluesbreaker and yes excellent! With proper break-in for the 12e-60 speakers in Origin cab the sound is very nice. I believe Origin series captures that Plexi tone and will play out with this 1/2 stack. I'm a blues rock player and classic 1960's rock. Satisfied with the tone. Excellent look, feel, and tone.
Nice 4x12 Cab
I bought this to match my 50 watt Origin head and was a little shy on pulling the trigger on this cab. But I am very pleased.
For the reasonable price it sells for it is well worth the money. Sounds great, good tone with good bottom end, mids and highs. build quality is nice but but made in veitnam but not bad. I am still breaking in the speakers but still sound great.I was using a Peavey Invective 2x12 which is a great cab but the 4x12 just opens up the sound of the amp. Also run a Marshall SV 20 watt head through it and man that MARSHALL SOUND. WOULD BUY AGAIN.
Go Big or Go Home
I ordered this to complete my Origin 50 full stack. I've already reviewed the amp and the "A" speaker box. Together, they are the most impressive combo I've used in six decades of playing (hard rock & blues). Most straight cabs will be used as the bottom component of a stack, so I want to talk about that. A lot of fine players think that a half stack is plenty or that miked combos are all you need really need with house PAs.

My take is that the sound waves from the 4x12 cabs interact in a way that puts movement into your tone and a physical "punch" that you can feel-even at low volumes. Now, with two cabs, the effect is even more pronounced. Good tone becomes an outright head rush...sort of like standing under a low pass by the Blue Angels. That's where the Origin comes in. The 50 watt head with its power attenuation capability and two cabs hits the sweet spot. You get the advantages of 8x12s with controllable power. This is truly a "stack" that makes sense and the total effect is a incredible. Do you need a crew to help you move it? Yeah, probably, but is it worth it. I mean all day long worth it. If you are considering the half stack, go ahead and complete the deal with the second cab. You will love it. As we used to say: Go big or go home.
Music background: 60 years of rock and blues...and still crankin'

There are countless "British"-style guitar amplifiers out there, but take it from the lifelong guitarists and tone connoisseurs at Sweetwater, when it comes to Marshall tone, there's nothing like the real thing. We've played them all, from vintage JTM45s and the ultra-cool Plexi reissue to modern handmade masterpieces such as the JVM410. There isn't a model among them we can't recommend with total confidence, and that includes their more affordable models too, like MG, DSL, and Code series amps. Thanks to our tight relationship with Marshall, Sweetwater's always on the cutting edge of their latest designs, custom models, and limited-edition gems. If you want iconic tone from across the pond, you want Marshall, and your Sweetwater Sales Engineer will help you find the perfect one.
