Take History into Your Own Hands!

The unparalleled look, sound, and feel of Leo Fender’s original Nocaster are alive and well if the Vintera II series of axes has anything to say about it. The Vintera II ’50s Nocaster provides that iconic alder and maple body and neck combo, offering plenty of period-correct appointments along the way, like its thicker “U”-shaped neck profile and vintage-style tuning machines. Grab hold, and you’re taken right back to 1951! Plug in, and the Vintera II ’50s Nocaster generates a spanky punch that flutters while clean and begins to sear when you lay into it. The secret recipe? A set of vintage-style ’50s single-coil Tele pickups at the neck and bridge, developed specifically to hone in on that cherished prototypical tone. Aiding in the old-school attitude is a vintage-style Tele bridge with barrel brass saddles, further injecting this Vintera II ’50s Nocaster with all the twangy tuneage you can conjure. Sweetwater guitarists’ take? This is your chance to own a true Nocaster tribute — without it costing an arm and a leg!

Real-deal feel

The Fender Vintera II ’50s Nocaster evades many common pitfalls of reissued guitars, starting with its historically accurate neck feel. Carved perfectly to a thick “U” profile, this maple neck provides a playability and a grip that’s spot on to the original model, making for an even more magical musical experience. A complementing 7.25-inch radiused maple fingerboard ordered with 21 vintage tall frets allows players to scale the Vintera II ’50s Nocaster with wide-range fluency and of-the-era authenticity. From dialed-in rhythm sections to soaring spotlight solos, this 6-string supplies the platform to prosper.

Genuine ’50s Tele tone

This impressive electric tells the tale of the original Nocaster with an incredibly genuine tone, too, and that’s no coincidence. Fender gave the Vintera II ’50s Nocaster a pair of Vintage-Style ’50s Single Coil Tele pickups to nail the vintage sonic details— and do they ever! The Tele is revered for its bright and chimey voice that’s backed by indisputable punch, and that’s precisely what you’ll get out of every note. Wailing blues solo? No problem. Punchy surf leads? Done! Additionally, its classic 3-way selector lets you pour on the brilliance at the bridge, cloak your sound in buttery-smooth richness at the neck, or combine the two for the best of both worlds.

Hands-down quality hardware

Rounding out the authentic feel and legendary tone of the Vintera II ’50s Nocaster is an adornment of high-quality hardware. Handsomely finished in nickel/chrome, this guitar offers a 3-saddle vintage-style Tele bridge boasting brass saddles that just ooze with aged response. Vintage-style tuning machines and a synthetic bone nut keep proper intonation at the forefront, creating a classic feel with a finer gear ratio for spot-on adjustments and buzz-less string dependability. Steadfast onstage and in the recording studio, these appointments are ideal for virtually any intermediate and professional application.

Fender Vintera II ’50s Nocaster Electric Guitar Features:

  • Alder body delivers that classic Tele weight and feel
  • Maple neck with thick “U” profile re-creates the grip of the original Nocaster
  • 7.25-inch radiused maple fingerboard offers 21 vintage tall frets for true vintage playability
  • Vintage-style ’50s single-coil Tele pickups deliver an iconic bright and punchy tonality
  • 3-way pickup selector enhances brilliance at the bridge and richness at the neck
  • Master tone and volume controls provide sculpting freedom while keeping things simple
  • Nickel/chrome finished hardware looks fantastic in any light
  • Vintage-style Tele bridge with brass saddles supply some extra era-accurate twang
  • Synthetic bone nut and vintage-style tuners offer buzz-free playability and incredible tuning accuracy

What is Demo Gear?

At Sweetwater, we're so picky that what we call a "demo" is actually better than what most music retailers sell as "new" gear! Our gear hasn't endured hundreds of people a week plunking away at all the keyboards, fumbling through Stairway to Heaven on every guitar or playing with every fader and knob on a mixer or control surface.

What demo means to us is that we've had it out of the box, or maybe it was in a customer's hands for a few days and isn't "factory fresh" as a result. Every demo item we sell has Sweetwater's 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty, and has been tested and verified up to "new" specs by our factory-authorized technicians to make sure it's in perfect working order before we ship it to you.

Note: While demo items from Fender do not include the Fender Musical Instruments Corporation warranty, you can shop with confidence knowing that this item is backed and covered by Sweetwater’s 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty.

When you buy a Demo item at Sweetwater, you get:
  • 2-year Total Confidence Coverage Warranty™!
  • Products inspected and tested by our factory-authorized techs, guaranteed to function like new (or better)!
  • FREE shipping on most items
  • Equipment that will MEET or EXCEED your expectations!

Vintera Nocaster burst

I have always owned and played Les Paul's and PRS single cuts ….still my preferred guitars, however this is an amazing and pleasingly different guitar choice. I got this with contributions from my family for Christmas. I consider myself a bit of an American Made snob, but I purchased a over seas PRS soapbar a few yeas ago that changed my opinion, it is a tremendously well made guitar. So…based on that experience I gave the MIM telecasters a look and landed on the Vintera Nocaster. I would love to own a real vintage guitar but I do not have the bank account to support. This Telecaster has a great vintage vibe about it, but it's a brand new guitar! It plays beautiful, I lowered the action slightly after playing it for about a week. That is a preference thing, it was great right out of the box. The finish is perfect, both on the body and the neck. I read there have been some issues with the edges of the frets not being filed well…that is not my experience. The vintage style pick ups have a pretty low output but that is to be expected…they're vintage, they growl aggressively (hard rock) when turned up with just a little overdrive. The neck and bridge combined is my go-to. It can be fender clean or have a bluesy growl with a turn of the volume knob. I personally enjoy the neck shape, I am not a great guitar player but I have been playing for 40 years (rock /metal/worship bands and just recreational)…the neck shape fits this guitar in my opinion. This is not a heavy metal guitar. Rock…blues…country…worship is were this guitar will shine. I cannot tell you how this stacks up against an American made Tele of similar spec, but I highly recommend this guitar for any guitar player of all different skill levels. This is a high quality instrument. My only complaint is it only comes with a gear bag…this guitar deserves a hard case (I immediately bought one) I highly recommend this guitar, I love mine!!!

Love this Guitar

Played one of the first ones in SF, years of playing and never playing a U Neck is like finding smoked paprika with eggs for the first time. Send me a model for reviews and videos!! Love this guitar... I have bigger hands it it was far comfortable on soloing and chords. Gotta get one, just give me a little better price.
Music background: 40 years playing, couple years in a band
