Roasted Maple for Increased Stability

This American Professional II Roasted Maple Telecaster neck is your ideal neck replacement solution for improved playability and a sharp look. Built from roasted maple with a matching roasted maple fingerboard, the deep "C"-shaped neck profile brings classic Telecaster comfort and playability that you can trust because it was built in the same facility as Fender’s U.S.-made instruments. Sweetwater guitarists find that this model’s unique rolled fingerboard edges provide extra back-of-neck contact space, which means more fretboard access and less strain.

Note: Every neck and guitar is different, and a final setup, including filing the nut slots and a final fret leveling, may be required after installation on your guitar. Call your Sweetwater Sales Engineer if you have any questions about upgrading or replacing the neck on your Fender guitar or bass.

Roasted maple neck and fingerboard

What’s so special about roasted maple? In comparison to a standard maple neck, a roasted maple neck’s lower moisture content is said to increase structural stability. This results in greater resistance to changes in environment, ensuring that your neck relief and overall setup remain solid for much longer than with a standard maple neck. Finally, roasted maple’s dark amber hue imparts an elegant edge to any instrument’s aesthetics.

Built for performance

The American Professional II Telecaster Roasted Maple Neck’s deep “C” shape is a benchmark for high-performance playability, providing the sleek, fast performance of a standard “C” profile, with just a touch of added heft. Moreover, the flat 9.5-inch radius and narrow tall frets are an excellent choice for players who favor modern playability and effortless bending up and down the fingerboard.

Fender American Profession II Telecaster Roasted Maple Neck Features:

  • Deep "C"-shaped neck profile for classic Tele comfort and speed
  • Smooth rolled fingerboard edges supply more contact space and playability
  • Roasted maple construction provides excellent structural stability
  • 25.5-inch scale length
  • Roasted maple fingerboard with 22 narrow-tall frets and a 9.5-inch fingerboard radius
  • Fender's Super-Natural satin finish ensures maximum comfort
  • Crafted with premium materials, including a bone nut for enhanced tone, resonance, and sustain

Reviews

The Most Perfect Fit Ever!
This neck is absolutely to die for. The Supernatural finish is smooth and not tacky at all. The frets are even and smooth. The roasted look is really sexy too.

Very nice, but...
Is it worth $700? I bought this for a partscaster build on a squire body. Out of the box the neck angle is perfect. Dead-flat one piece neck/fingerboard. Factory rolled fretboard edges are perfect. Finish all the way around is perfect. Roasting really makes the growth rings stand out. While you CAN bolt it on, string it up and play it right out of the box, the nut will need proper slotting and the frets are leveled but need a crown and polish. So is it worth $700 compared to one half the price or even the original squire neck I replaced? Probably not. But it is very nice.
