Lightweight and Packed with Features

The Behringer NX6000 packs an impressive amount of power into a lightweight, cool-running unit. This power amplifier delivers 3,000 watts/channel into 4 ohms or 1,600 watts/channel into 8 ohms, so you'll have plenty of headroom to work with. Experience low noise, superior transient response, and low power consumption, thanks to an efficient switch-mode power supply. Benefit from a linear frequency response at any speaker load, by virtue of the NX6000's SmartSense loudspeaker impedance compensation. Beyond that, Zero-attack limiters supply maximum output with reliable overload protection. The NX6000 comes complete with a built-in stereo crossover, reliable twist-lock speaker connectors, and precise 4-segment LED metering.

Lightweight and efficient Class D amplifier technology

Thanks to revolutionary Class D technology with "near-zero" thermal buildup, the lightweight NX6000 runs very cool, no more massive heat sinks or toroid transformers. We've been impressed with the punch and clarity of this Class D power amp at Sweetwater, and we're sure your band will be too.

Linear frequency response at any speaker load

The NX6000 punches well above its weight. Behringer's SmartSense Technology yields a linear frequency response at any speaker load impedance. On top of that, the NX6000's impressive damping factor offers superior amplifier control over your speakers, ensuring top-notch sound reproduction. When combined with quality loudspeakers, the NX6000 yields powerful, dynamic bass and ultra-smooth high-frequencies.

Designed for exceptional ease-of-use

Operating the NX6000 is dead simple. Benefit from at-a-glance confirmation of your system's vital signs, by way of the NX6000's simple front-panel controls and indicators. Positive-detent gain controls with signal level LEDs on each channel make gain-staging a piece of cake. Rear-panel combo XLR and 1/4" TRS input connectors ensure compatibility with just about any source. Reliable twist-lock speaker connectors prevent unwanted "unplugging" incidents. You also get switchable dual mono and stereo along with an easy-to-use stereo crossover.

Behringer NX6000
great amp low noise fans don't bother me at the level i listen real wattage at 8homs is more like 750/800 watts per channel goin into some Polk signature series elite with three 6 and half inch subs with hires terylene tweeter in each tower and it makes them sound thunderous is about 300 watts rms all day long witch there rated max is 350 per channel so there is more than enough to push them to clipping point easily most people think its weird i use them as my monitors in m home studio no disappoints amp has flat power curve up to the point of clipping oh and by the way always remember that there is no standard for power ratings so in reality you want what it dose for real power outlet only has 20 amps so no mater what they sate power is it can only pull what's available from the outlet witch is 2400 watts but it usably stable at around 2000 watts so the absolute max any amp could put out is limited to 2400 watt burst witch never happens cause of clipping or would throw the breaker so 2400 watts max out of a 20 amp outlet is 2400 watts max regardless what they claim power is but great amp for price over all had it like 6 months now to wait on revieing it hope this is helpful peace out.

Yes, the ratings are exaggerated, but the P/P sure isn't
Also, reports on the fan noise are exaggerated too, imho. It's not a studio or home hi-fi amp, although people do swap the fans out for quieter ones for those purposes. That means less thermal overhead, but the price:performance on this amp is so good I can see why people think it's worth it to make it living-room friendly even if that means halving the usable power.

And speaking of power, the amp has it. Does it have as much as Behringer states? No, and I think it's both underhanded and a little embarrassing when companies over-rate their products. But (1) you're not getting more power for the money anywhere else, (2) this amp will use as much power as a 15 A U.S. breaker can provide in any case, and (3) the ratings are conspicuously sanguine, but not outright fanciful (i.e., more like "program power," not "when it's struck by lightning power"). That last point sort of makes it worse, because calling it the NX3500 and rating it at 1.75 kW/Ch @ 4 Ω probably wouldn't turn buyers away, but my main point is that the engineering department did fine building a powerful amplifier to a price point, and I'm rating the amplifier they designed, not the manual and model name the marketing team came up with to go with said amplifier.

Connectivity is good enough—balanced XLR and balanced/unbalanced TRS/TS inputs, mono/stereo modes, full-range/LPF/HPF (around 100 Hz cutoff) crossover switch for use with full-range, subwoofer, or mid/high boxes, and speakon speaker outputs. No RCA, no bare wire terminals for speakers, no Bluetooth—but it's got the necessities. It's a cheap, high-power power amplifier, and nothing more or less.

I will say, the limiter and protection circuitry are definitley tuned toward reliability and mitigating user error. If you drive the input section hard, or connect a lighter load than 4 Ω, expect that it will let you know. It'll function, but if you hit current limits, it'll cut the output section. Plan ahead and it should be fine; but if you don't, at least you probably won't break it.
Behringer amp.
Had no idea my system could sound so good.
I've been over driving my other amp not knowing it wasn't powerful enough to drive my pa. Properly. Thanks to advice from your people I went for this amp. I'm a happy camper.
