The SM7711 music stand is very steady and durable. Does not wobble and can hold very heavy books or binders. This is a great music stand and well worth the money.

This stand is very similar to the ones we had in my highschool band room. If you're familiar with that type of music stand, you'll be right at home using this one. The height adjustment is good for standing position or seated in either a chair or a barstool. For me (I am about 5'10" tall) height adjustment was my biggest reservation in ordering this stand without first seeing it but I've found it adequate for my needs. Once positioned for playing, the stand is very sturdy and would be difficult (but not impossible) to topple over. The sheet music holder is a bit difficult to tilt but remains in position very well, making it worth the effort positioning it just right. I'd go so far as to say that with a little ingenuity and some double-sided tape this stand could even be used as a temporary setup for a projector or a laptop. There are no wire hold-downs for sheet music on the stand but I found that to be easily remedied by keeping a few spring steel paper clips handy. The size of the stand is plenty large enough to fit most sheet music, song books, and three-ring binders. The make of the stand gives the impression that it should last for years to come but should it fail in the distant future I'd be happy to purchase another one of these to replace it.

These stands are great quality and definitely a good choice.

Easy setup,sturdy, works well

We needed a stand for the church band and looked at several options. This stand fit the requirements, was reasonably priced and arrived quickly! I would buy again from Sweetwater AND the On-Stage brand!!!
