Still the best

This is my second Whirlwind snake. My original one got washed away in a flood. I don't need something like this often, but when I do Its got to be bulletproof and work perfectly. My original was just that, so when the need for a replacement came up 20 years later Whirlwind was going to be my only choice. This time I'm storing this one at higher ground!

Great Snake

Solid build and perfect for my need to route inputs back from live band recordings into my UAD Apollo(s).

Simple, sturdy, effective

Fantastic build, quality and functionality. I bought this for a live gigging band which uses 4 vocal mics, 4 amp mics, harmonica mic, with a drum mix XLR out. Our stage was a complete mess due to the cables running to the far left side where the mixer was operated by one of the guitarist. I am the drummer in the middle of this cable nightmare as they run behind me to the mixer. Ugh! So, I bought this snake for its sleek profile, for its simplicity in providing only XLR inputs and outputs. I chose 25' as that was ample for our use. The first gig I brought it to, we quickly plugged the matching numbered outputs into our 12 channel mixer. I ran one cable behind me and placed the strong metal box in front of my kit. Then the guys plugged in their gear into the corresponding numbered inputs. WaaLaa! No more cable mess! Also, it is made in NY, USA and is built like a metal tank. Numbers are clearly marked on both ends. Super simple. Tear down was so easy also. Everyone unplugged and I wrapped my snake up.

Whirlwind Quality

What can I say. I've always had a good experience with whirlwind snakes and this mini 12 is perfect for my home studio to mic my drum kit and then some. Good design, durable and well constructed.
