Cardioid Gooseneck Mic

Review of the Shure MX418/C 18 in. Cardioid Gooseneck Mic with Preamp

The Shure MX418/C has been a great mic for me for years in different settings. It is a wonderful mic for pulpits or other stationary needs, but has also been helpful in cases where we've needed an extra mic for children's choirs, instrument sections or as a secondary stationary platform mic.

Should have purchased it LONG AGO!

After speaking with Grant Vitek, a Sweetwater Sales Engineer, I had him look at and listen to a recent local town meeting telecast the had an important guest speaker presenting rather long program for all to hear.

He was speaking into a wireless microphone that I've used for years to enable guests who attend the meetings to speak from.

Almost ALL who did approach the mike never got close enough for the wireless to pick up their voices as clearly as possible.

Grant immediately suggested a Shure Mzx418 with preamp after seeing and hearing our issue.

CASE SOLVED! The last meeting that was held was so much improved. I should have changed to the new mike years
ago as this was always an on going issue I had to deal with for such a long time.

Mic addition

Our account rep kept in contact before and after delivery. Very good customer service. Mic was added to our church pulpit. Improved sound quality and volume for everyone in the auditorium.
