Massive British Tones on Tap

With the Morgan MVP 66, massive British-inspired tones are literally within your grasp. This 50-watt tube amplifier head is equipped with a full tone stack consisting of two KT66 power tubes and a pair of 12AX7 preamp tubes. Known for their excellent headroom and clarity, KT66 tubes are the secret ingredient behind the tones from some of the most iconic names in rock. Set the gain low for cleans that are as bold as Hendrix. Turn the gain up, and you’ll discover a sound with rich character and ample bite. The Morgan MVP 66 also has a built-in boost that you can control with the included footswitch. You won’t have to worry about unreasonable volume levels either, thanks to the amp’s built-in Power Level control.

Experience the magic of KT66 power tubes

What do Hendrix’s stacks, Clapton’s JTM45, and other classic British amps have in common? They’re all loaded with KT66 power tubes. And with the Morgan MVP 66, you’ll have bucketfuls of huge British tones at your disposal. If you haven’t used KT66 power tubes yet, you’ll soon become addicted. They have an exceptionally smooth response with a spirited midrange, a rounded bottom end, and a clarity that other tubes struggle to keep up with. Crank the gain, and you’ll be treated to massive British-style tone with a mid-forward response that slices directly to the front of the mix.

Power Level control keeps your volume level reasonable

Here at Sweetwater, we know how important tone is to our customers. But unfortunately, some players don’t have a space where they can crank their amp without disturbing their neighbors or loved ones. Thanks to Morgan’s signature Power Level control, you can do just that while keeping the volume at a reasonable level! This knob controls the power section’s volume without choking the power tubes, which allows you to keep the tubes white hot without blowing out your windows. Trust us — your neighbors will thank you.

Easy-to-use controls

The Morgan MVP 66 is equipped with stripped-back controls that gigging musicians and studio pros can tweak to their full potential. The straightforward Bass, Mid, Treble, and Gain controls are very touch sensitive, enabling you to explore a wide variety of tones. Given how simple the controls are, it won’t take you hours to dial in your signature sound. For an added dose of sonic diversity, the MVP 66 is equipped with a Bright switch and a footswitchable Boost control mounted to the back. From simple to eccentric settings, the MVP 66 will always inspire you to play your best.

Reviews

Nothing, I mean NOTHING is better than Morgan.
I have this model from Sweetwater. Took a chance. All the best components. Extreme craftsmanship. This is the REAL "Beano" Blues-Breaker. It took about a week to "break in". Please don't think that the "low price" that they charge means that there is "better anywhere". Plug in a Strat, Tele or a Les Paul . You will get "Amazing". Add pedals and go anywhere you want. I also got the Dual 20. O'yeah....Single Channel....my ***. You will get so much out of this "single channel" Cheers!
Music background: Retired, always learning and love Music.

Joe Morgan and Co. Builds the finest Boutique Amps anywhere. His price will fool you. He could easily sell his Amps for much more. IJoe Joe Morgan and Co. Builds the finest Boutique Amps anywhere. His price will fool you. He could easily sell his Amps for much more. I bought the Dual 20 first. Built ( like all his stuff ) like a tank. Touch sensitive ...you feel your guitar coming through as you play. The master volume allows even the 50 plus watts of the MVP66 to play at bedroom / apartment levels. MVP66 is the Amp that will allow the 60's Clapton, Hendrix, The Who clean and overdrive tones come through. Guess what ... it is the KT66 Tubes and Morgan that make it happen. No overdrive pedal needed. BUT..this amp and all his amps take pedals as well as any amp ever made. 1 Channel not many knobs or switches but I promise you as you go you will find Marshall tones Galore. Save a ton of money and for Vox ( AC20 " Vox Tones" or Dual 20 ( Vox 60's 70's and much more...-"VOX on steroids" and the MVP66 for 60's 70's " Marshall on steroids ") Go to uTube and see a Tear down of a "brand name" Amp and you will be in shock. See the Morgan reviews / uTube Videos then make up your own mind. Cheers!
Music background: Learning the hard way. I love Guitars and Amps. Vintage and Custom Shop.
