MTI MAX
night and day better than MTI2 !! Resolution is perfect. Hate using mouse so these touch screens are a joy to work with. Plus Raven's latest version of software is unbelievable. Speeds workflow greatly!

Actually Surprised
I had the original Raven MTi when it first came out and wound up selling it quickly as it just wasn't quite ready for prime time.

This new device is the exact opposite. It's built like a tank, the display resolution is perfect and the software just works without issue.

I'm using it for Pro Tools, Nuendo , and Studio One.

I was up and running in all three DAWS in less than 3 hours of config and setup.

Very happy customer thanks to my salesman Ken Nace
Amazing Tool
This is an amazing, must have tool for any filmmaker or music producer.

Definitely worth it if you are an audio engineer
I've been waiting all year for this since I played with it at namm earlier this year. This will definitely make things much easier to mix n master stuff. It's basically a huge iPad.
An amazing upgrade...
I've owned the original MTi, then the MTi2, and now the MTi MAX. With each generation, it gets better and better.

The MTi MAX is amazing on several fronts:

1) The build quality is stellar. It's built like a tank. It has an all metal chassis and the built in monitor stand is seriously heavy duty and versatile.

2) I have a 3 monitor set up. The 1080p resolution of the MTi and MTi2 were completely serviceable especially since my other two monitors are much higher resolution. But the Ravens sat directly in front of me day after day. I had become very used to working in 1080p.

However, the 2K resolution of the MTi MAX is ... luxurious and as a touchscreen angled directly in front of me it is even more useful. It is fantastic to have the higher resolution and increased screen real estate.

3) The Raven 4.0 software is a leap ahead of what came before. Prior versions were not bad by any means, but it is apparent that a lot of thought and effort went into the redesign of the UI/UX. It is a pleasure to use.

So at this point you are thinking "fan boi", but I'm not. There are a couple of improvements I'd like to see. I'd like an option for some "nano-textured" glass or something that would cut down on reflective glare. Also, although documentation and set up videos and software have improved tremendously, I'd like more info detailing the assigned gestures for each DAW as well as more guidance on using the batch command editor.

So I guess it boils down to this: Raven is a great system. If you have an MTi2 there's no rush to by a MAX. BUT IF YOU DO you will appreciate the tweaks and you just might find yourself how you settled for 1080p as a primary workspace. If you don't have a Raven at all, the MTi2s are out there for a steal right now and you get everything you'd have with an MTi MAX just on less capable hardware. Nevertheless, it is a great introduction to the Raven system at a reasonable price point.

However, if you really want to experience the Raven system, the MTi MAX is the best showcase on the market.
