Mark Tremonti Signature 1 x 12" Cabinet

If you're looking for the perfect cabinet to pair with your new PRS Mark Tremonti MT15 all-tube amplifier head, Sweetwater recommends the PRS Tremonti MT112 60-watt 1 x 12" extension cab. In fact, this cabinet is specifically designed to handle the massive array of tones that the amp head delivers. Inside the MT112's all-birch construction, you'll find a popular Celestion Vintage 30 12" speaker ready to bark with its familiar midrange and cut. And the Mark Tremonti MT112 is also a fantastic option for any of your other amps when space is an issue.

Mark Tremonti

After bursting on to the rock scene in Creed, Mark Tremonti quickly established himself as an heir to the guitar-hero throne. Now playing in the internationally renowned Alter Bridge, Tremonti has only heightened his legend by use of supreme metal techniques and ground-rattling riffs, as well as his more delicate clean tones and acoustic guitar work. A longtime PRS user, it only makes sense that he went to Paul Smith to help design his first signature amplifier and cabinet. The result is a compact powerhouse amp rig that delivers the quality of craftsmanship and tone that comes with the Paul Reed Smith name.

Reviews

Excellent calls to high
Paired with the PRS MT15 head this cab sings! Excellent tone with flat frequency response. Excellent build and finish. All my electrics sound great through the cab. Highly recommended.
Excellent
Great sounding cabinet
Great cabinet
Great Sound from a tiny package
Very good cab for less $ than many competitors
I've had mt15 head and matching cab since the year it was introduced. It's very versitle and handles all kinds of music and it sounds great. I have 4 different lower watts heads and all sound great played through the cab at high and low volumes. The cab is made very well. It's a little larger than most standard 1x12 cabs. It gives a nice amount of bass that gives you a fat organic tone. I cannot complain about my speaker. It sounds good. Not the great but it sounds pretty darn good. I have a mesa cab with a english made v30 that sounds a bit better with a UK v30. I also had another u.k v that didn't. I'm sure your chances are greater getting a not so great sounding sounding with it being a mass produced import but I've heard man imported celestions that have sounded good. I agree its rarer for a U.K celestion to sound but I've seen a few u.k duds even with excellent qc its not 100%. The cab was more of a bargain at the original $ in 2017 but gear always goes up. Even with that said its still about less $ than most of the competitors so you'll be able to swap a speaker. Over all is a solid cap.
Great sounding cabinet, but I expected a little more....

This is a great sounding cabinet when paired with an appropriately sized amplifier. It goes between bedroom and small gig volumes seamlessly. I've paired it with the MT15 and the Victory Kraken mk2. At the price-point, I'm not disappointed with the performance.

One of my objectives with this purchase was to shrink the overall footprint of my amplifiers and sell off the big stuff. The cabinet its self is a little bigger than I thought it might be. I realize space impacts the sound, but this item is over half the size of the 4x12 I have it sitting atop. This isn't a deal breaker, but is hard to gauge when shopping online.

I was also disappointed with the quality of the Tolex covering the cabinet. Within the first two weeks, I failed to mind a headstock of a guitar while moving about and bumped the cabinet. With my early 2000's gear, this usually had me concerned for the guitar's well being. To my surprise, the cabinet lost this round. The Tolex ended up damaged.

Also worth mentioning - I had an issue with a related PRS item. When contacting customer service, their initial e-mail specifies a wait time of 3-5 days. Their subsequent e-mails indicated the wait time to be 7-10 days due to unforeseen circumstances. We're on day 14, and Reddit is saying I might be waiting up to 3 weeks to hear back about something likely needing warranty service. Reddit indicates this has been an issue as far back as 2022, and its currently 2025. Had I better researched PRS customer service before making purchases, I probably would have made different decisions. I expected more from a luxury brand. Consider this before making choices.

You don't even have to play guitar to know that PRS instruments are in a league of their own. With their exquisitely figured tops and premium appointments, each PRS is a playable work of art. But it goes way deeper than the surface. Every time Paul visits Sweetwater, we get a deeper look at his amazing instruments. We've even hosted several PRS Custom Shop events, complete with Paul's personal Wood Library! Whether they're his most affordable SE electric guitars, top-quality acoustics, or amps, it's always amazing to see what PRS comes up with. What's more, we keep a ton of PRS guitars in our amazing Guitar Showroom, so the staff at Sweetwater can get hands on with all of their latest models. We'd love to tell you all about them.
