B-File Fret Beveling File
This bundle starts with the MusicNomad B-File, a fret-beveling file that locks into the wooden handle, holding your file at the perfect 3-degree angle to shave off fret ends and tangs that protrude from the fingerboard. The file sports two levels of abrasion, with a single-cut side for fine removal and a double-cut side to hog away seriously sharp ends. Plus, the B-File’s secondary 23° channel is ideal for cleaning up the bevel on your frets or even adding a bevel to a freshly installed set of frets.
E-File Fret End Dressing File
While the B-file brings your fret ends flush to the fingerboard, it also leaves them with sharp corners and angles — that’s where this kit’s fret end dressing E-file comes in. This file’s 280-grit diamond-coated cutting surface allows you to cleanly round over any errant angles, while the two safe edges (and slightly rounded feel on all four edges) ensure that you can run it along your fingerboard without marring the wood.
Tracers Fret Finishing Kit
Now that your fret edges are trimmed and smoothed, the only thing left to do is polish them up with the 6-piece Tracers Fret Finishing Kit. This kit comes equipped with four successive grits of Micro-Mesh pads (all the way up to 12,000 grit!) and an ergonomic handle system, making it a breeze to finish off your frets with a mirror shine.
