A Studio-ready Entryway into Audeze’s Manny Marroquin Range

The Audeze MM-100 brings the studio-proven sound of Audeze’s Manny Marroquin–designed MM series to the masses, providing you with the sonic accuracy and reliability of a professional studio in headphone form. These open-back, over-ear headphones come equipped with the same innovative Audeze technologies found on the brand’s flagship models, including planar magnetic drivers, Fazor waveguides, and an ultra-thin Uniforce voice coil. You can tackle even the longest sessions in complete comfort thanks to the MM-100’s lightweight build, gel-filled earpads, and adjustable suspension strap. Spec-wise, MM-100 headphones cover an impressive 20Hz to 25kHz frequency range, and their 98dB sensitivity and 18-ohm impedance rating allow you to optimally drive these headphones with a flexible range of playback devices. Built to the most exacting standards in the USA right next to Audeze’s most prestigious products, MM-100 headphones are a surefire way to take your mixes to an entirely new level of studio-grade excellence.

Equipped with innovative Audeze technologies

Audeze’s MM-100 headphones have many of the same cutting-edge technologies as Audeze’s flagship headphone models, starting with planar magnetic drivers. These drivers are fine-tuned for ultra-precise, production-grade accuracy, leveraging an impressive 20Hz to 25kHz frequency response with 98dB sensitivity. Even the most discerning listeners here at Sweetwater are blown away by the MM-100’s Fazor waveguides, which exhibit a supremely coherent phase response, inaudible distortion at all output levels, and imaging with pinpoint accuracy. Furthermore, Audeze’s patented ultra-thin Uniforce voice coil exhibits a detailed sound of unparalleled precision, along with accurately controlled bass response.

Studio-proven sound from Manny Marroquin

Boasting a double-digit collection of Grammy awards in his trophy case, Manny Marroquin is one of modern music’s true production and mixing masters. His extensive list of musical credits reads like a roll call of the 21st century’s biggest artists and acts, including revered musicians like Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna, Kanye West, Post Malone, Bruno Mars, John Mayer, and countless others. Thus, it’s no small compliment that Manny chose Audeze to develop his signature series of mix-ready headphones. The MM-100 marks the entry point for Audeze’s Manny Marroquin lineup, offering superlative mix-ready sound and accuracy for all.

Reviews

Love these headphones!
I have several other good headphones but these are by far my favorite for working on mixes.
Low end it tight and solid, midrange articulate, highs are pleasing without being hyped.
Very comfortable tho built like a tank.
These are for translating mixes to the real world.
Sounded good for about a week
Bought a pair for my wife for Christmas. I was concerned with the cable from the outset. I didn't pay attention to the cable form before I bought it. The entire length of the cable is an unprotected braid. After a week and a half my wife complained that it sounded different and wrong. I've listened to them on multiple systems and they are not right. Anything in the center of the stereo field is smeared. Center vocals sound like they are coming from a million miles away. I've listened to my own productions but also lots of reference tracks from 60s hard bop to 90s nu metal and they are definitely broken. I've manipulated the cord throughout its length to determine where a fault might be but nothing changes. I hate the cord but I think at this point it's a red herring. Regardless these are getting returned.
Music background: Tracking and mixing engineer for about 25 years
