Reviews

Great strings
Very simple. If Medium strings are too much for your fingers and Light strings don't give you the resonance and volume you need, your choice is clear. These are my favorite strings to use for my D-35 and there's no difference in tone from the Medium gauge strings. I hope Martin continues to make this set for a long time.
Great Sound!
I recently re-strung my new HD28e with these strings...great tone and slightly easier on the fingers than the Martin SP medium gauge strings & John Pearse medium gauge PB strings I've used previously. Plus, no loss of bass response coming from the guitar.
Music background: Long-time amateur & occasional professional guitar player and worship leader.
Excellent strings; not too light.
I haven't mmmmmmmAmazin
Martin Phosphorbronze - Medium Lights - Nice strings, short tone life
I really like these strings. As the label implies, they fit nicely between light and medium string weights and have pros of each type. Have great balanced tone, deep bass and trebles that play louder than typical light strings. Definitely a good set to try if mediums are too heavy and light are too floppy. The problem I have with these, as well as most Martin PB strings I've played, is the tone and sound degrade very quickly. I put a set on and played five 2.5 hr sessions plus a bit of practice over a week's time and the strings were completely beat with a huge loss in volume and tone. They felt like they'd almost lost their elasticity. I payed closer attention after putting on a second set and noticed volume and tone changes after playing a just couple 2.5 hr sessions. Admittedly I play fairly vigorously but probably no harder than most Bluegrassers. Again, I really like the feel and tone of the strings overall but they fade quickly. YMMV but that's been my impression of Martin PB strings overall.
Music background: Strong intermediate, play in most my free time
Martin new ma strings
Not as good as msp4200! I like the msp line better. I have played these strings a long time and now I can't get them anymore. Not a good move by Martin..
