Reviews

I rarely write reviews, but with these strings I had to.
I've played guitar 43 years and I've used the same strings for the last 12 years. I was convinced they were the best and I wasn't going to change. These strings have been on my guitar for a month+ and they sound wonderful. But the point that made me love these strings was the ability to bend them and they don't hurt my calluses. they don't squeak as bad as the strings I used to have. As long as you make these strings, I'll buy them.

Better than Elixir's less than half the price
By my count I've been using Elixir's for 25 years on my 5 Taylor's and they are great. But I saw Tommy Emmanuel play recently and he was flying across the fretboard like he was playing an electric guitar and he as usual sounded great, but I thought his strings sounded great. So I had to do a search for what strings he's using and found these. Put them on yesterday and man I'm sold. Feels and plays like an electric on my 13 year old Taylor 814ce. Easier to play, easier on my fingers, just seems a lot lighter than the Elixers at essentially the same gauge. I'm a professional guitar player, playing 200+ acoustic gigs a year. Even if I have to change them more often, the cost of these make that essentially irrelevant.

Musical Strings
I have a Corona-built Guild D40 that was stiff. At various times most of the major US companies had built up their construction a bit to avoid warranty repairs. Daddario NB 12's and PB bluegrass strings did not do the trick.

I came across Martin flexible core strings in the liner notes of Jorma Kaukonen's Blue Country Heart. He had an old Gibson AJ. I totally love mahogany guitars. Suddenly the old Guild was resonant and alive along with bone pins and a new bone saddle (took out the undersaddle pu). These strings ring and shimmer. The .054 E string lost nothing over the .056. Match made in heaven.

I love the nickel-bronze on my new Guild D20, but adore the flexible core on my 18 y/o Tacoma DM9 too. Can't speak to rosewood, ovankol or maple b&s guitar, but with a mahogany guitar you may fall in love all over again.

These are the first strings that I can bend, strum, pick and bend some more and still not have sore fingertips.whatilike

They Beat Elixirs
These strings are wonderful. I've been spending $+ for Elixirs and just thought I would try these and I love 'em.
They play great and sound the best and last as long, if not longer than the Elixirs.
Thank you Sweetwater for the great service and fast shipping.
