Reviews

Great After a Couple Days!
When I first put these strings on my D-18, I thought they sounded weird and metallic and was planning on replacing them. But I left them on and after two or three days they started to sound great! They're not quite as bright as PBs, but they have serious bite. Importantly for me, they feel VERY good on the fingers and are easier to fret than most strings. I have hyper flexible fingers that make it hard for me to do barre chords, but I'm finally able to do so at least to a decent degree with these strings. They are expensive, but unless you're changing strings constantly or putting them on 20 guitars, I think the cost is still not absurd.
Classic sound
These sound amazing and are easy to play. I tune to D standard, but they settled in right away.
Great strings.
Liked them since I put them on. On my Sitka sapele d-10e (Sweetwater special by the way), sounded really great.

More bright than Martin retros (retros are my favorite), just a little bit more, nice overtones and really nice bass. Like the feel, 13s are my go to option, and the thick feel on the finger and the pick was the right for me, you can dig really hard and won't let you down.

Not full 5, just because when playing with others and most important, singing (I can't sing so, somebody else) you need to have the right sound tech, it's not, you can get lost in the mix, they don't cut as regular 80/20 or 92/8.

Will put them on after I changed this set? Yes, they last long, and for me that I'm a couch player and sometimes play with others, they have lasted several monthly now. Will also give a try to the flexible core, just because want to try something else. Shoutout to Ivan Salazar, he's the best, always on spot on his recommendations and transparent in all, he's not trying to sell you stuff, he's trying to help you get the stuff that you will like and won't return.
Music background: Couch player, church bass and acoustic guitar (sometimes)
Not so impressed
The strings sound okay. I restrung my Martin D16-RGT. It now sounds as if my guitar is made with mahogany. Very suttle sound. Glad I bought just one set.
The D16-RGT has been slightly modified. TUSQ pins, saddle and nut. Have tried many string makers but, I'll stick with what I normally use on my guitars, D'Angeico.
Music background: 50 years playing.
Too Quiet for me
These strings are easy on the fingers and sound good...good tone, but way too soft and quiet for me. Compared to Elixr strings, they are just not loud (as for bluegrass picking, not good). I think these maybe good for beginner, or quiet strumming by the fire.
Music background: Guitar since 1987.
