Fishman’s Most Powerful Acoustic Amplifier

The Loudbox Performer is Fishman’s most powerful acoustic amplifier, churning out 180 watts of transparent, bi-amplified tone via a state-of-the-art 3-way speaker system. This 2-channel amplifier accommodates your guitar and a microphone, along with backing tracks and other accompaniment via Bluetooth. And dialing in your sound is a piece of cake, thanks to a streamlined control set that includes a 3-band EQ and feedback suppression. What’s more, everything you play will be teeming with depth and dimension, courtesy of built-in effects and dual effects loops. You also get an Aux input and independent XLR DI outputs for each channel, which make playing along to your favorite songs and capturing your performances a breeze. Whether you play solo or in an ensemble, you need the Fishman Loudbox Performer — it guarantees that you’ll be heard in any situation.

Unforgettable design and function

The Loudbox Performer sports a tan-and-brown motif that’s easy on the eyes and complements acoustic instruments better than basic black. Its front-panel display makes the controls easy to find, read, and adjust. A straightforward control set means you can relax and play confidently. Each channel accommodates both 1/4-inch instrument inputs and balanced XLR mic inputs and includes Gain, Low, Mid, High, and Anti-feedback knobs and Pad and Phase switches. You also get controls for the Loudbox Performer’s built-in effects, tweeter level, phantom power, and more, plus a Master Volume knob for setting the amp’s overall level. Plug in, dial in, and play with the kind of rich, real acoustic tone that makes for a memorable live performance.

Bluetooth wireless connectivity

The Loudbox Performer has always been a feature-packed powerhouse, and thanks to the addition of Bluetooth, it’s more powerful than ever. Whether you use it to add backing tracks to your performances, jams, and practice sessions or cue up break music between sets, you’ll find that the Loudbox Performer’s Bluetooth connectivity has endless uses.

What is Certified Open Box Gear?

At Sweetwater, we're so picky that what we call "Certified Open Box" is actually better than what most music retailers sell as "new" gear! Our gear hasn't endured hundreds of people a week plunking away at all the keyboards, fumbling through Stairway to Heaven on every guitar or playing with every fader and knob on a mixer or control surface.

Certified Open Box (also known as a demo) means we’ve had it out of the box for our YouTube channel, displayed at events, tested in our studio, or maybe it was in a customer’s hands for a few days and isn’t ‘factory fresh’ as a result. Every Certified Open Box item we sell has Sweetwater’s 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty and has been tested and verified up to ‘new’ specs by our factory-authorized technicians to make sure it’s in perfect working order before we ship it to you.

When you buy a Certified Open Box item at Sweetwater, you get:
  • 2-year Total Confidence Coverage Warranty™!
  • Products inspected and tested by our factory-authorized techs, guaranteed to function like new (or better)!
  • FREE shipping on most items

Reviews

Love the weight!
My other accoustic amp is a SWR CALIFORNIA BLONDE. Great amp but is big and weighs over 60 pounds. This Fishman is much easier to gig with. Great sound and is more compact in size weighing a very manageable 30 pounds. It's made my much life easier!
Exactly What I Needed

First things, first. The customer service experience I've had buying from Sweetwater is second to none. Personalized interaction with an actual human is a rarity these days, and my advisor Sean is the best. I've come to look forward to my phone call from Sean after all my orders and he never disappoints.

On that note, Sweetwater shipped this amp so fast that I got in NEXT DAY..

Now on to the amp itself; I ordered this because I have become frustrated with trying to play gigs using my old tube amp and a separate PA for vocals. At bedroom rehearsal levels it was fine, but at brewery gig volume, an acoustic guitar sounds terrible through a tube amp and trying to compensate with effects pedals was too much hassle. So, I made the decision to finally grab this amp. I had done a lot of window shopping and YT research and felt that the Loudbox Performer would suit my needs best.

Amp was packaged well, with included manual and power cord. At this price, having the foot switch included would have been nice, but I guess that's the norm nowadays. The amp sounds amazing right out of the box and with very little tweaking. I took the advice of some YT reviews and set my gain clipping first before turning up the master volume; really helped keep the feedback to a minimum and the use of the feedback eliminator on the amp wiped it out completely, even when facing the amp.

The sound of both my Martin GPC-16E and my Epiphone IBG Hummingbird through the amp were outstanding; crisp and clear, very transparent sound without being too shrill, glassy or muddy. The on-board effects were great for my needs and I found myself not feeling the need to use any other pedals for basic reverb and chorus. The phaser was fun to play with, though I don't use that sound too often. The slap-back effect was the only one that I felt was a little timid, but I'm sure some tweaking could dial it in for a more rockabilly vibe. I could tell right away that this amp has more than enough power for my typical gigs, and the interaction between amp controls and guitar volume/tone was excellent.

I'm looking forward to using this live in the field and will update review if needed, but overall, I'm stoked on this choice and buying from a company like Sweetwater makes it that much better.

Music background: Cover band singer/guitarist and solo acoustic performer
Clean, powerful sound.
I've been using the Mini version for 14 years, and still do. Still works great for most venues.
I tested the Performer at home and gigged with it this week. Solo gig. Used Martin D28 with K&K Mini, direct no pre-amp, and Sennheiser dynamic mic. Sounded great. Tested Bluetooth with my iPhone, it's fine too. Sweetwater service, top notch.
Music background: Gigging musician.
Fishman loud box performer
I have been wanting this acoustic combo amp for a while and I'm happy to finally get it. It beats the heck out of having to lug a full PA around for solo performances. I had the Loudbox mini, but playing it at out door events pushed it to its limits, so i decided to go with the performer instead. It has such a great sound and is easy to travel with and set up.
Music background: I am a singer songwriter that has traveled the south east with my band and primarily as a solo act now.
it's a beast
I have been using this in combination with a powerful clear main which I swing out to one side to get a full PA effect. The performer,is, in fact, a mini PA. But it sounds better than most small PAs.

I have two of them now so I can invite friends over to join me at gigs, and we can have two guitar mics and two vocal mics all going into the main (through the mixed output).

These are outdoor shows. Indoors the performer all by itself would be plenty.

When you run this amp behind you, it doesn't feedback and you can hear exactly what is going into the mains out of your performer. It takes a while to get used to having the monitor behind you, but that's essentially it.
Music background: National new song finalist

Want to make your guitar sound its best? Take it from the lifelong performers at Sweetwater and check out Fishman. If you've bought an acoustic-electric guitar, there's a good chance it came with Fishman electronics, but it's easy enough to upgrade your favorite instrument too - just ask the pros in Sweetwater's Guitar Repair Shop. Do you perform? Are you a singer/songwriter? We'd love to turn you on to Fishman's Loudbox amps and amazing pedals. But Fishman isn't limited to acoustic electronics. Many of us have tricked out our electric guitars with Fishman Fluence pickups and TriplePlay wireless MIDI systems too.
