A Headworn Mic That Will Go the Distance

No matter how far or wide you search, you’re unlikely to find a headworn microphone that can match the Acacia LIZ Diamond’s performance and value. A pro-level dual-ear microphone loaded with a premium capsule for clear audio pickup, the LIZ Diamond has an omnidirectional polar pattern for a natural sound that’s impervious to proximity effect with lessened plosives. The earhooks can telescope in and out, as can the boom, which makes this headset the perfect fit for any head size. The LIZ Diamond’s design also places the capsule in the perfect location adjacent to the mouth without bending the mic boom. Sweetwater Sales Engineers recommend the LIZ Diamond for lecture halls, performance theaters, houses of worship, schools, and more. Why? In a nutshell, because the steel construction is in it for the long haul. Plus, the rugged durability and reliability are second to none. Finally, repairing a broken cable is easy — just detach it from the unit and plug in a new one in its place.

Note: This LIZ Diamond headset microphone is compatible with Sennheiser bodypack transmitters with locking 3.5-millimeter connectors.

Acacia LIZ Diamond Headworn Microphone Features:

  • Headworn microphone with high-quality capsule
  • Omnidirectional polar pattern captures an even and natural sound
  • Dual-ear design increases stability
  • Telescope the earhooks and boom in and out
  • Capsule optimally placed adjacent to the mouth without bending the mic boom

Perfect replacement
I'm often a fan of name-brands because they bring us a sense of trust and reliability… but many times we purchase name brands out of habit. But every once in a while we are introduced to something new. And sometimes change is good and necessary.

The name Acacia didn't ring any bells because I had never heard of them before for a head worn mic. The cost of this same product and style of dual ear, head worn mic was have to 2/3rds less than the other name brand I often went with. I was concerned but trusted my source who introduced me to Acacia.

I couldn't be any happier or pleased with this unit. It works. It is well built and the quality for which it is used for is equal to better than the other name brand. Thanks Acacia for making a great product for the end user.

Good but Maybe Not Great
I purchased this Headworn Microphone to pair with my Sennheiser EW 500 as a mic option for the speakers at a large event. The design seems to be very close to the mic's I was already using (that were out of stock). Durability seemed good, although it is unknown how much of a beating the cable can take.

The best mic's are generally pretty simple to dial in by following the basics. When paired against both the Point Source Audio microphones (our original go to headworn mic) and Countryman (our gold standard) it took some finessing to get the quality we need, where the others were pretty straightforward. Similarly, the sonic characteristics were less than ideal.

Since this mic is new to me and I hadn't had the time to really get to know it before a large event, I will spend the time to really understand how to get the advertised sound quality out of it before making the decision to add it to a growing pile of good, but not excellent microphones.
