This guitar begins life as a cedar neck with ebony reinforcement and a Spanish heel for outstanding resonance and longer sustain. The top features a bracing pattern dubbed “El Gato.” Spanish for “the cat,” this asymmetrical bracing pattern was conceived by luthiers Javier Mengual and José Margarit. Aside from its visual similarity to a cat’s whiskers, the guitar’s bracing offers the perfect blend of stiffness and flexibility.
