Jerry Cantrell's Prized Wine Red Les Paul Custom

Inspired by the Alice in Chains guitarist's prized wine red axe, the Epiphone Jerry Cantrell "Wino" Les Paul Custom is teeming with the acclaimed musician's personal touches. This solidbody electric guitar boasts a maple-topped mahogany body with 9-hole weight relief and head-turning multi-ply binding. It includes a Custom Cantrell neck taper for a comfortable vintage feel, along with a bound, 12-inch-radius, 22-fret fingerboard that ensures easy access to thunderous riffage and blazing-hot leads. Alnico Classic PRO and 98T PRO pickups churn out everything from classic humbucker tones to a veritable sludge factory of sonic textures, while Grover Rotomatic tuners and a Graph Tech nut ensure rock-solid tuning stability. This axe also includes traditional block fingerboard inlays, a personalized "Jerry Cantrell" truss rod cover, a "JJ" logo on the rear of its headstock, and elegant gold-plated hardware. The Jerry Cantrell "Wino" Les Paul Custom offers no excuses — you'll be eminently satisfied every time you pick it up.

Exceptionally smooth playability

Comfort and playability were two of Epiphone's primary concerns when they designed the Jerry Cantrell "Wino" Les Paul Custom. You'll be amazed at how this guitar's Custom Cantrell neck taper comfortably fills your hand in just the right way. What's more, its bound, 12-inch-radius, 22-fret fingerboard yields playability so effortless, it feels like heaven beside you. Finally, this Les Paul's glued-in neck construction ensures maximum vibration transfer and near-endless sustain. The guitarists here at Sweetwater can attest: once you pick up the Jerry Cantrell "Wino" Les Paul Custom, you'll have a hard time putting it down.

Incendiary humbucking pickups

The Epiphone Jerry Cantrell "Wino" Les Paul Custom features a covered Alnico Classic PRO humbucker in the neck position, netting you enhanced mids and highs for churning out serious rock 'n' roll growl, shimmering clean tones, or warm jazzy sounds. An exposed-coil 98T PRO bridge humbucker vaunts a frequency response that favors the upper midrange and high end, along with plenty of output, for incendiary, metallic-sounding leads. You also get traditional Les Paul controls, with two volume and two tone knobs, plus high-quality CTS potentiometers. When you're primed for a high-octane degradation trip, the Jerry Cantrell "Wino" Les Paul Custom is ready to grind.

Jerry Cantrell's personalized features

This Les Paul Custom is laden with Jerry Cantrell's personalized features. For starters, its resonant, maple-capped mahogany body is adorned with head-turning multi-ply binding. Grover Rotomatic 18:1 tuners and a Graph Tech nut ensure rock-solid tuning stability. There's plenty of eye candy onboard the Jerry Cantrell "Wino" Les Paul Custom, including pearloid block fingerboard inlays, a personalized "Jerry Cantrell" truss rod cover, and a "JJ" logo on the rear of the headstock. Gleaming gold-plated hardware rounds out this solidbody electric guitar.

Jerry Cantrell wino

I bought this guitar to keep on hand for when my son is in on leave so that he can ply the guitar while I'll keep the beat with my drums. And I must say this is probably one of the best sounding and playing guitars I've have ever owned. The custom set up that sweet water put on it with the pleking the frets. I never imagined that a epiphones would sound and play as nice as it does. Thanks to my sales engineer Kyle baker at sweetwater has helped me get my orders and help me make the right decisions on what I am looking for this one was spot on. Definitely recommend and also try one that they plek the frets and you won't regret it. Best purchase I've made yet from sweetwater and I've made several. Just hope that after my son plays it he will let me keep this guitar.

Would? You Should!

Buy this Guitar! This is my third Epiphone Les Paul and the best one by far. The pickups are excellent and the neck profile is the easiest to play. Being a wine drinker I love the wino color it's beautiful. I am for sure an AIC fan but this Guitar would be great for any style. This is the most affordable "real" Les Paul Custom created thus far. I owned a 70's Gibson Les Paul Custom and this is the closest to that I have played.
Music background: Playing Bass and Guitar for over thirty years.

Music background: now it's not only my background but every fiber of my existence I've done it all last band I was in was bluegrass band with my family but I mostly played in hardrock and metal bands besides the last band

Blown away…

I'm even a better guitarist than I thought! My expressions come out effortlessly through this beauty. Only a little set up after new strings and I'm in love. My favorite guitar and it's not even close. I have 6 guitars and would trade all 5 for this one (including a Martin acoustic, fender Lone Star Strat, Schecter and Washburn.

Don't Pass This One Up

Initially, I was drawn in by this guitar's looks. A Les Paul Custom is the best looking guitar ever made, and this Wino just takes that up a notch.
For just a few bucks more than the regular Epiphone LP Custom you get a beautiful wine red finish, a custom neck profile that feels great, MUCH better pickups, especially the 98T Pro in the bridge. It sounds similar to the Gibson 498T, but a bit fuller, a
I notend a hard shell case.
Mine arrived in great condition, needing minimal adjustments, fretboard conditioning and some better strings.
Whether you're a J.C. fan or not, this is too good of a guitar to pass up. It's easily worth more than the asking price.
I now own the Adam Jones Les Paul Custom Silverburst and now this new JC Wino and I honestly believe that these are the two best Les Pauls that Epiphone has ever made.
Music background: 30 years of professional and amateur noodling.
