The Sequel to LP's Boisterous Black Box Cajon
Latin Percussion is a company dedicated to pushing the percussion envelope forward. Thus, it comes as no surprise that the Black Box II Cajon improves on its predecessor in multiple ways. First, its meranti (also known as Philippine mahogany) soundboard is 100% glued on to enhance the Black Box's overall sound, resonance, and playing feel. Meanwhile, its body is constructed from an environmentally friendly medium-density fiberboard (MDF), which gives you both durability and longevity. On the inside, you won't find flight information, but you will find two sets of internal snare wires that provide an articulate and sensitive snare sound. Sweetwater percussionists also get great use from the integrated bass port that augments projection and enhances low end. Finally, it simply wouldn't be the Black Box II without sporting its signature all-black matte finish and white LP logo.
