Elevate Your Craft with Aggressive Tone and Extreme Playability

The ESP LTD Deluxe MH-1000 EverTune was built for one specific purpose: to take your playing to a new level. This solidbody electric guitar's mahogany body delivers a massive dose of warmth and sustain. Whether you're chugging on the low frets or burning up high, the LTD Deluxe MH-1000 EverTune's 3-piece maple neck and smooth Macassar ebony fingerboard ensure easy playability. Beyond that, this axe's active EMG pickups give you an endless variety of heavy-hitting sonic textures. The LTD Deluxe MH-1000 EverTune also features set-through construction for long-lasting sustain and excellent articulation, plus an EverTune bridge for steadfast tuning stability and intonation.

Extra Thin "U" neck for excellent control, stability, and playability

Playing the LTD Deluxe MH-1000 EverTune is a treat. Its 3-piece maple neck is cut to a smooth, playable Extra Thin "U" profile. Its 13.7-inch-radius Macassar ebony fingerboard is adorned with 24 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets — a favorite among players in heavy genres. What's more, offset block inlays give the LTD Deluxe MH-1000 EverTune added visual appeal. The LTD Deluxe MH-1000 EverTune also features a bind-free molded nut.

EMG pickups yield incredible top-end clarity and huge lows

You'll get to know the true personality of the ESP LTD Deluxe MH-1000 EverTune as soon as you plug it in. A set of EMG's 81 and 60 MetalWorks active humbucking pickups offers up a sound that is high output with plenty of top-end clarity and huge lows. These pickups are a favorite among metal players, and Sweetwater sells a ton of them for how well they push amps into tight-sounding distortion. Also, a push-pull tone knob activates coil splitting for the neck pickup, giving you extra tonal versatility.

EverTune bridge keeps you in tune, all gig long

The EverTune bridge on the LTD Deluxe MH-1000 EverTune is an all-mechanical system that helps you stay in tune longer during any playing situation. Small springs keep constant tension on your strings, giving you long-lasting tuning stability, in addition to incredibly accurate intonation. You can also adjust it to control how much your pitch changes when you bend a string. Even if you're playing a long gig or recording session, your tuning will be more stable regardless of your playing style, temperature, or other variables.

ESP LTD Deluxe MH-1000 EverTune Electric Guitar Features:

  • Solidbody electric guitar with aggressive tone and extreme playability
  • Mahogany body delivers a massive dose of warmth and sustain
  • 3-piece maple neck with comfortable Extra Thin "U" profile

What is Certified Open Box Gear?

At Sweetwater, we're so picky that what we call "Certified Open Box" is actually better than what most music retailers sell as "new" gear! Our gear hasn't endured hundreds of people a week plunking away at all the keyboards, fumbling through Stairway to Heaven on every guitar or playing with every fader and knob on a mixer or control surface.

Certified Open Box (also known as a demo) means we’ve had it out of the box for our YouTube channel, displayed at events, tested in our studio, or maybe it was in a customer’s hands for a few days and isn’t ‘factory fresh’ as a result. Every Certified Open Box item we sell has Sweetwater’s 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty and has been tested and verified up to ‘new’ specs by our factory-authorized technicians to make sure it’s in perfect working order before we ship it to you.

When you buy a Certified Open Box item at Sweetwater, you get:

Reviews

An incredible value for a guitar that's worth well over the selling price.

I have been curious about trying out the EverTune bridge for a while now, but I've been hesitant to spend over $ on a guitar that I'm not sure I'll like. At the time of purchasing, this guitar was reduced from $ down to $. I simply couldn't pass up the opportunity, and I'm glad I didn't.

PROS

This guitar, and more specifically the one equipped with the EverTune bridge, plays like an absolute dream. I think I had the action set a bit too low, but I adjusted the truss ever so slightly and got it to where I want it. The bridge also sits very low, which can be an adjustment for someone like me who's used to Stopbar Tailpieces and Tonepros bridges.

The EMG active pickups really make this guitar sing. I use this with a Peavey 6505 II, and I run it through a TU-3, a EHX Silencer, and a TS9 Tube Screamer. I really only need the gain at about 1.5 to get serious distortion.

Moving on to the EverTune itself, what an incredible bridge. My Les Pauls and SGs stay in tune and intonated well enough, but I'm always fiddling with them to get them back in tune, and I just can't get my Les Paul Custom to intonate properly. The EverTune fixes these issues. I have mine set up for bends (right at the edge of Zone 2) and it holds tune nearly perfectly. It also stays intonated all the way up the bridge, which is more than I can say about my other guitars.

CONS

It's a small thing, but the volume knob is really close to the bridge pickup, which is right where I strum, so I often find myself hitting the knob and cutting the volume inadvertently while playing. If the knobs were shifted down the body about an inch, it would make strumming a lot easier.

VERDICT

Overall, even at full price, this guitar is well worth the money. It's also the perfect introduction to the EverTune system. If you're hesitant about trying it out because you've seen how complicated they can be from your favorite GuitarTuber, just try it. I'm not a very smart person at all, and I had no issues figuring it out. I swapped the stock strings for heavier ones so I could tune down in drop-C tuning, and I was able to figure out the re-stringing and tuning process. It's more simple than a Floyd, and holds tune perfectly.

My dream guitar!
A long long time ago, I had my dream guitar. I fell on hard times and had to sell it. I was heartbroken and remained heartbroken even after purchasing other guitars, they were cool guitars but they just weren't the same.

I saw this ESP guitar on Sweetwater's website and was very intrigued. I spoke with salesman Jesus and had many many questions for him. He really knew his stuff and I knew I had to have that guitar and I made the purchase. After I made the purchase with Jesus, I was thinking a lot about that guitar, wondering if maybe this guitar would be the one?

I never had a guitar with EMGs before and I'm a metalhead but I will tell you that I am 100% sold on those pickups. They give me monster sustain and killer tone! This axe really purrs! I absolutely love the fret work and the jumbo stainless steel frets and the ebony fretboard is just like the one I had on my dream guitar, but the one thing that absolutely sold me on this guitar was the Evertune bridge. This guitar is worth its weight in Gold to me because I don't have to worry about tuning the guitar unless I change the strings. It took me about 20 minutes to set it all up with the intonation and everything else and I was ready to rock! I spent some time on YouTube learning how to use the bridge before I got it. Just imagine how many hours of your life you've spent tuning your guitar.... It feels awesome to just walk up to your guitar, pick it up off the wall, turn on the amp and start ripping! It's going to be in tune and you have nothing to worry about!

I have definitely found my dream guitar again and I'm extremely grateful! I am proud to say that this guitar is better than my old dream guitar! It was a custom Carvin. Yeah, this ESP is better! I will never buy another brand and I'll never buy another guitar without an Evertune bridge. It is the most fantastic invention ever installed on an instrument! I'm a 40 year guitarist.

Very Happy with the guitar AND the bridge!
Like almost every other high end LTD the fit and finish was flawless. All the binding was perfect, ss frets perfect and everything was exactly as it should be. The top is down right beautiful! I did need to tighten the truss rod a little but that is probably due to climate differences.

This is my first Evertune bridge... I have heard praise and horror over the years but as I do some luthier work on the side I needed one to learn how to use and set it up. Thus far my concerns were not justified in the least. As expected the guitar was in tune out of the box... The main reason I have ignored these over the years because I use quite a bit of vibrato and bending in my lead playing and have heard numerous stories that they feel odd or don't respond correctly. That's simply not the case. As suggested by some videos I watched before ordering, I just put a tuner on it and tightened the tuner at the headstock until it went sharp then backed off a tad and that was it. If you have played with a floating bridge the bending responds just same from a single note perspective but unlike a floating trem the other notes stay in tune... very nice!

I'm not a huge fan of EMGs for versatility but being able to "split" the neck produces a beautiful chimney sound. Otherwise they sound like the same 81 and 60 many of us are already familiar with from years past. The option on the 60TW-R is a welcome change though!

One reason to get this over the see through black is this one has stainless steel frets, at least as of the end of 2021. The amazing fretwork on top of that and the familiar ESP/LTD neck makes this a breeze to play on.

If you considering a guitar with an Evertune bridge this one should be high on your list, the price to performance ratio makes this an outstanding value.

Dollar for dollar, this can’t be beat!
If you're wanting to try an Evertune, this is a great starting point. The hype is real. I'm already plotting on selling off other guitars to get more Evertune equipped ones!
Superb fi and finish. Really good fret work feels even better than it is with very nice binding on the neck. I checked with a fret rocker and the frets are almost perfectly level. I can tell they were just pressed in and not leveled… but that totally cool for how consistent it is. No buzz and able to go super low on action.
Emg's are emg's love them like I do or unjustly hate them because that's the cool thing to do, they sound great! The 'coil split' isn't actually a coil split. It's a separate single coil in the same housing, which is really cool.
It'd be nice if the neck were satin and if it had locking tuners, but honestly, I can do both mods aftermarket.
All in all, you can't go wrong! Stainless steel frets, Evertune, neck through, emg's.

Amazing Guitar for The Price.
Really wonderful guitar for the price. Mine was made in Korea and was flawless upon arrival. Threw on a set of NYXL 60-11's, swapped the EMG 81 to a set of Jim Root pups and tuned down to drop B no problem. Sounds chunky and clear. Best guitar purchase since my SCT-607B.

Thanks to Nate McClure and his whole team!
