Lava Cable collaborated with Switchcraft to create the next generation of pancake-type plugs, the Lava 229. Improving on the classic original Switchcraft 228, the Lava 229 features two plated-copper-alloy solder contacts and a Mylar shorting protector along with a one-piece tip and rod assembly for enhanced robustness and reliability. The Lava 229 plug sports a slim body width of just 0.425" and a capacitance of only eight picofarads. The classic is now better than ever.
