Take Your Tone Back to the 1980s

Armed with unabashed ’80s attitude, Kramer’s Eruption humbucking pickups are a sonic celebration of the days when hard rock and metal ruled the airwaves. These humbuckers pair a raunchy high-output wind with Alnico V magnets to produce a tone that’s as articulate as it is aggressive. Plus, 4-conductor wiring allows you to configure the Eruption humbucker to provide clear and cutting single-coil-style split tone to complement the raw, chunky sound these pickups provide at full force. From marathon tapping runs to screaming pinch-harmonic-laden riffs, the Kramer Eruption humbucker is one of Sweetwater’s top picks for the gain-obsessed guitarist who clamors for high-octane, old-school tone.

Kramer Eruption Humbucking Pickups Features:

  • High-power humbucker, inspired hard-rock and metal’s 1980s-era glory days
  • Overwound design and Alnico V magnets result in a seriously aggressive sound that retains clarity during even the most gain-drenched solos
  • 4-conductor wire allows for split-coil wiring configurations and more
  • Wax-potted construction keeps squeals and feedback under control

Reviews

Gibson Kramer Eruption Neck
I was worried about the high output. This pick up is really amazing. It is clean and bright enough to play great clean rhythm. It is beautifully articulate without any mud or a ridiculous scoop that makes your guitar disappear in A live setting. I have it pared with a 498t in the bridge. This is what the 496r should have been. I'm not a review writer. Pickups are so subjective, I hope this is helpful.
