Mic holder

It's a mic clamp... It works. It's small. I have struggled to find a great and simple clamp for snare mic placement. I have tried the claw (too big and tough to adjust one handed), cheap clip-in plastic "chip clip" style mic holders and even the Audix Cabgrabber for deep snares. This clamp is the easiest to use and allows for great adjustability for the standard fare of mics that might typically be used for snare and tom mics: SM57, i5 (my favorite), 451, etc. I have it placed on top with an i5 and on bottom head with an SM137 and it has survived a basher without issue. K&M stuff is simple and rock solid. Sweetwater is the place to shop. Great service that is comprehensive, personal, and fast.

BITCHIN' SNARE MIC HOLDER

EVERY TIME I USE IT I GET A BIT MORE HAPPY WITH IT. IT WORKS GREAT WITH A SM57 AND THE SENNHEISER 906. GONNA GET ANOTHER ONE FOR UNDERNEATH THE SNARE.

Mostly work well

I bought a bunch of these to try to reduce some of the clutter when micing up drum kits in my studio. I would not call these clips "heavy-duty", but they seem well made and not at all flimsy. So far they have held up well in the studio. I've used them with SM57s, Audix D2s, AKG D220s, and Sennheiser E905s...all worked well and were easy to position on toms. Less impressed with them on snare; it's hard to get them into a workable position that isn't in the way of the drummer, especially with an SM57. Well worth the price.
