Value-Packed Quilt Top Jackson 4-string Bass

The Jackson JS Series Spectra Bass JS3Q packs plenty of punch with its poplar body, maple neck, humbucking pickups, and active EQ. And that gorgeous quilt maple veneer top looks amazing under stage lights! Upgraded with a HiMass bridge, two beefy Jackson humbuckers, and coil-split circuitry, the Spectra Bass JS3Q makes it easy to dial in the perfect tone for any gig or recording session. And for a commanding feel, the Jackson Speed Neck is topped with a smooth compound-radius laurel fingerboard and jumbo frets for effortless playability. If you’re looking for a seriously gigable bass at a great price, look no further than the Jackson JS Series Spectra Bass JS3Q.

Compound-radius fingerboard for ultimate playability

The JS Series Spectra Bass JS3Q features a 12"–16" compound-radius fingerboard for ultimate playability. The laurel fingerboard is rounder near the nut for holding down the groove. As you head up to the solo range of the instrument, the radius flattens out for easier runs and string bends.

Powerful electronics let you tweak your tone to perfection

Jackson stocks the JS Series Spectra Bass JS3Q with two passive humbucking pickups, positioned to capture the fullest tone possible. With coil splitting and 3-band active EQ, you can sculpt your tone any way you see fit. Whether you’re recording soulful R&B or trying to cut through a speed-metal mix onstage, the Spectra Bass JS3Q has the tone-shaping power you need. And the active electronics provide plenty of output to drive longer cable runs, your effects chain, and your amp.

Built with unbeatable Jackson quality

Jackson’s JS Series incorporates Jackson’s three-plus decades of instrument-building expertise, and the Spectra Bass JS3Q is no exception. You get resonant tonewoods, high-output electronics, and a fast neck with a silky-smooth fingerboard, all at a price that belies its performance. Many guitarists and bassists at Sweetwater (and worldwide) are fiercely loyal Jackson players. Check out the JS Series Spectra Bass JS3Q and you’ll know why.

Amazing

Great for the price only thing is the fretwork is a bit rough but other than that man this thing is just amazing. Setup perfectly when I got it and has been a dream to play. Thinking about replacing the neck or getting someone to fix the rough fret edges.

Pro feel and sound.... Great Price

Purchased this bass 9 months ago and after hours of playing with various bands I am very impressed with it. It feels amazing, lightweight, very comfortable and ergonomic. The neck is great, feels very thin but has surprising room on the fretboard. The controls and electronics are good, they doo take a little practice to get used to (For example, the pickup blend knob feels reversed, i.e turn it away from the pickup you are choosing). The preamp sounds good, with a large sweep in treble, mid, and bass. And the versatility of pickup taps, and an active off switch allows me to blend in nearly any tone I want.

The build is very doo, not a single flaw of any kind on mine. Overall I highly recommend it.

A good first bass for a new player

I've played guitars for years, but never had a bass. I wanted something from a brand I was familiar with, and something that looked and sounded great. After watching and reading reviews, I decided this would be a good bass guitar to buy. After having it a while, it is fun to play and easy to play on. It's comfortable. I don't feel like I'm fighting with it while kicked back watching TV and playing on it.

Plugged into an amp or the Scarlett i2i, the sound is very clean. The switches and knobs all feel good, and the knobs are notched in the middle, which helps with balancing sounds where needed.

Overall, I really am happy with what I bought, and look forward to many years with it.
