A Powerfully Playable Bass

The JS3 Concert Bass packs plenty of punch and sleek looks too with its poplar body and bound maple neck with graphite reinforcement. The JS3 Concert Bass comes equipped with two Jackson humbucking pickups, ready for you to dial in your ideal tone. And for a commanding feel, the amaranth fingerboard features a 12"-16" compound-radius for effortless playability. If you're looking for a seriously playable bass at a great value, look no further than the Jackson JS3 Concert Bass.

Compound-radius fretboard

The JS3 Concert Bass features a 12"-16" compound-radius fretboard for ultimate playability. The amaranth fingerboard is rounder near the nut for easy rhythm playing. As your playing heats up and moves up the fretboard, the radius flattens out for easier runs. With a neck that plays this slick, you'll find more reasons to get up to the higher frets in no time.

Powerful electronics let you tweak your tone to perfection

Jackson stocks the JS3 Concert Bass with two high-output humbucking pickups, positioned to capture the fullest tone possible. You can sculpt your tone any way you see fit with the bass, mid, and treble tone controls. Whether you're recording some mellow R&B or trying to cut through a speed-metal mix onstage, the JS3 Concert Bass has the tone-shaping power you need.

Built with unbeatable Jackson quality

Jackson's JS series represents the best of Jackson's 30 years of expertise, and the JS3 Concert Bass is no exception. You get killer tonewoods, high-output electronics, and a compound-radius fingerboard, all at a price that belies its performance. And when you get onstage with this bass beast in your hands, everyone will know you're playing a Jackson thanks to the iconic shark fin inlays and tilt-back headstock.

Jackson JS3 Concert Bass Features:

  • Jackson quality and playability at an incredibly low price
  • Solid poplar body delivers smooth sustain and balanced tone
  • Compound-radius fretboard lets you play faster and smoother
  • Dual humbucking pickups capture full-range tone
  • Bass, mid, and treble tone controls give you powerful tone-sculpting potential

Jackson JS3

It's exactly what I expected...which pleases me. The sound is flexible enough for the way I play and the price made it more than worth it.

Sweetwater's service is great, too. They worked with me to fix a misunderstanding with my order and everything worked out fine. Looking forward to a long relationship with these folks.

Great affordable studio bass

This thing slaps I have it hanging on a wall by a nail and it still is in tune everytime I go to pick it up . Great value also has good tone

Great bass for the price

I purchased this bass back in January 2021 and have been actively using it since then. I really like this bass, it's bare tone (no effects) is nice and full, the EQ allows you to shape your tone nicely and the active pickups give you plenty of output. I really like the thin neck on this bass as it feels really nice in my hand. The only issue I experienced with it was the one I received from Sweetwater had twisted strings resulting it to sound a bit dead, I was going to change the strings anyways to my preferred brand once I got it home so this wasn't a huge deal. The bass was setup great otherwise.

My first bass

1. Needed a fret job immediately.
2. Truss Rod nut stripping on very first use.
3. The 2 Tone control knobs barely make a detectable change in tone, but are working.
4. The Tuners are really cheap and sloppy action.
5. The plug in jack, where you plug in the chord, was intermittent connection right out of the box. (Had to take it out, and bend the levers on the back so that they make constant contact) Also the Jack is very poor quality.
6. This is my first bass so i don't really have a comparison for the neck feel. but to me this is a very uncomfortable neck.
7. For whatever reason, this Bass Guitar had a weird and disgusting smell, right out of the box. Something on it. Because i was able to get rid of the smell by wiping it down with bleach several different times.

Based off of this one purchase i'll not be buying any "Jackson" products ever again.

All that being said and done. I think i have most of the bugs worked out, and i knew i was buying the cheapest base i could find. Its a bass and i can manage to record some bass tracks with it.
