An Entry-level Guitar You May Never Outgrow

With distinctive looks, aggressive tone, and impressive playability, the Jackson JS22 Single Cut solidbody electric guitar has classic Jackson appeal at a great price. The high-output ceramic humbucking pickups sound intense and can easily take your amplifier from clean sounds to metal territory. Expect many years of reliable playability, thanks to the graphite-reinforced neck with compound-radius fretboard. Learn to play longer runs across more of the neck, with the contour cut heel for easier fret access. Guitarists at Sweetwater agree, the Jackson JS22 Single Cut solidbody electric guitar packs a lot of value.

Aggressive tone delivered by ceramic-magnet humbucking pickups

The Jackson JS22 Single Cut packs a pair of ceramic humbucking pickups and can deliver a wide tonal range. Pickups with ceramic magnets are popular in heavier music styles due to their high output, exceptional clarity, and wide frequency response. That also makes them perfect for most other styles too, giving you a robust guitar signal for further sculpting with pedals and your amplifier's tone controls.

Plays fast across the entire fretboard

As your playing speeds up, the Jackson JS22 Single Cut won't get in your way. The compound-radius fretboard is rounder near the nut for easier chords, and it flattens out as you move up the neck for faster melodic playing. And you'll find it's comfortable to play up to the highest frets, thanks to the contour cut heel that helps you transition to the highest registers on the fretboard.

Sturdy neck that's built to last

Your guitar's neck takes a lot of abuse, between your playing and the constant string tension. The Jackson JS22 Single Cut boasts a graphite-reinforced maple neck, designed to resist twisting and warping over the years.

Jackson JS22 Single Cut Solidbody Electric Guitar Features:

  • Powerful tone and impressive playability at a great price
  • Wide-ranging, high-output tone from 2 ceramic-magnet humbucking pickups
  • Rigid maple neck is reinforced with graphite for long-term reliability
  • Compound-radius fretboard flattens out towards higher frets for faster playability
  • Perfect for modern metal, with enough sonic flexibility to play in any genre

Great guitar

I must've gotten lucky but the one I received was ready to play except for needing tuned, and the action raised a bit due to fret buzz. Other than that, great guitar in this price range. Also a shoutout to Lawson, he was my sales rep and he checked in on me, chatted a bit about music. Overall a cool guy, and I've had a great first experience here at sweetwater!

Great first guitar

I picked this up as my first guitar and honestly can't be happier with it. Solid construction and feels good in the hands.

Smart design features make this a good choice for anyone

The shape of the headstock keeps strings in alignment better than "classic" designs. That helps this stay in tune, even with aggressive bends.

The graphite reinforced neck has been stable during the two years I've owned it. Once it's adjusted and set up, it stays that way.

The pickups are more than adequate. They actually sound good clean, have low noise like a humbucker should and have plenty of juice to drive the front-end of any decent amp.

Simple volume and tone controls are easy to use, and the knobs are in convenient positions.

All the hardware works properly and is solid.

All these design features make this guitar punch WAY above its price point. It's a bargain.

Jackson Monarkh JS22

I ordered this guitar from another vendor in "open box" condition and struck gold. Just came here to say this is an awesome guitar - it handles gain and distortion well and on the flipside you can get some very nice clean tones out of it too.

The only thing about this guitar is that the pickups are quite muddy when playing with distortion - but a little mud never hurt anyone!

Currently saving to get some seymour duncan pickups (JB bridge, '59 neck) as they are the pickups used in the pro series model.

Too long didn't read version: 10/10 would buy again, but if I bought again I would get it from sweetwater because they're great.
