More Than a Mere Entry-Level 7-string

Despite its astonishingly low price, the Jackson JS Series Dinky Arch Top JS22Q-7 DKA HT is more than a mere entry-level 7-string electric guitar. For starters, the JS22Q-7 DKA HT’s quilt maple top exudes an expensive vibe that’s guaranteed to impress. What’s more, this extended-range axe’s high-output ceramic humbuckers serve up a massive, girthy tone with loads of punch and bite. The JS22Q-7 DKA HT’s graphite-reinforced neck and fat-fretted, compound-radius amaranth fingerboard are the stars of the show, however. Whether you’re djenting or shredding, this pairing allows you to cut loose with zero fears of fretting out. If you’re searching for a new weapon for metal-fueled mayhem, the JS Series Dinky Arch Top JS22Q-7 DKA HT is the ideal budget-conscious choice.

Jackson high-output pickups for ultra-hot tone

Looking for rock-solid metal tone? The JS Series Dinky Arch Top JS22Q-7 DKA HT delivers the goods. That’s because Jackson hooked up the JS22Q-7 DKA HT with a pair of their custom-built ceramic-magnet humbuckers. These high-output pickups give you plenty of punch and serious bite — just what you need for today’s most aggressive guitar styles.

Compound-radius fretboard delivers maximum playing comfort and performance

The Jackson JS Series Dinky Arch Top JS22Q-7 DKA HT features a 12-inch to 16-inch compound-radius fretboard for ultimate playability. This bound amaranth fingerboard (complete with signature Jackson piranha tooth inlays) is rounder near the nut for easy rhythm playing. As your playing heats up and moves up the JS22Q-7 DKA HT’s fretboard, the radius flattens out for easier runs and big string bends. With a neck that plays this slick, you’ll be up at the 24th fret in zero flat.

If looks could kill . . .

If you’re after a guitar that looks as mean as it sounds, then Sweetwater has your axe. The Dinky body shape alone is enough to convey instant attitude. Throw in an arched top, Jackson’s distinctive pointy headstock, and piranha tooth inlays, and you’ve got one arresting-looking guitar. The JS Series Dinky Arch Top JS22Q-7 DKA HT is not only one of the sharpest-looking guitars around, it’s a serious axe wielder’s instrument of sonic destruction.

Jackson JS Series Dinky Arch Top JS22Q-7 DKA HT Features:

  • A high-performance 7-string electric guitar for an amazing price
  • Lightweight and resonant poplar Dinky body conveys instant attitude
  • Light-catching quilt maple top exudes an expensive vibe that’s guaranteed to impress
  • Dual Jackson custom humbuckers deliver hard-hitting high-gain tone
  • Compound-radius amaranth fingerboard feels great for rhythm and lead playing
  • Slender graphite-reinforced maple neck keeps your action fast

Reviews

Jackson JS22Q-7
Guitar arrived on time with no damage or issues. I'd recommend paying extra for setup due to buzzing when fingering the first and second frets. Could be a one off thing but it is your choice whether to get it setup or not.Sales expert did a good job keeping me up to date on my orders and making sure I got my gear.
Music background: Mostly play as a hobby but I do play in a church band.
Somewhat good
Great sounding recording through amp sims, but I would say it sounds muddy when playing through a fender amp. Cannot withstand aggression after a long day of work and someone smacks into your car on the way home. Perfect for tabbing out songs about childhood trama though.
