The Avatar of Clean — Now in Small

The JC-22 Jazz Chorus delivers Roland's signature JC tone in an ultra-compact 30-watt stereo guitar combo amp. In addition to classic Jazz Chorus cleans, the JC-22 includes the famous Dimensional Space Chorus effect. With 30 watts of power and two custom-designed 6-1/2" speakers, the JC-22 is perfect for home practice as well as for low-volume rehearsals or gigs. The JC-22 features front-panel stereo inputs, true stereo reverb, and a stereo effects loop (switchable from series to parallel) for integrating external effects processors. The effects loop also make the JC-22 ideal for use with amp modelers, multi-effects, and even synthesizers. Line out jacks allow direct connection to a PA system or studio audio interface and a headphone jack supports silent practice. Optional footswitches can be used to turn the JC-22's chorus and reverb effects on and off.

Iconic JC cleans, great-sounding onboard effects

Since its introduction in 1975, the Roland JC-120 has made its mark on countless recordings as the king of clean guitar tone. Most of the guitarists here at Sweetwater have used one at one time or another. The baby of the Jazz Chorus family, the JC-22, delivers that same iconic tone in a compact, ultra-portable package that weighs just a tad over 26 pounds. The JC-22 employs two independent power amps feeding custom-designed speakers and is fitted with Roland's trademark Dimensional Space Chorus effect for immersive, room-filling 3-dimensional sound. Also onboard is a rich-sounding true-stereo reverb for lush, expansive ambience.

Roland JC-22 Jazz Chorus Guitar Combo Amp Features:

  • Iconic Roland JC clean tone in an ultra-compact combo amp
  • Stereo 30W guitar amp with two custom-designed 6.5" speakers
  • Stereo input for true stereo operation with modelers and stereo effects pedals
  • Roland's trademark Dimensional Space Chorus for immersive 3-D stereo sound
  • High-quality reverb effect for lush, expansive ambience
  • Footswitch jacks for turning chorus and reverb effects on/off
  • Stereo FX loop is switchable from series to parallel

Reviews

My Favorite Amp for Practice
Thank you Dave Hess, for helping me choose this Gem. I have a bunch of Fenders, and A Big Boss Katana. This is in my "Music Studio" 12x14 room. the Amp is plenty loud I have a DB Meter and have never had to go Above 4 on volume the sound is great the "chorus feature" is every thing you expect. The reverb is great, for practice I occasional use pedals, also have Looper/Drum system tied in all works well. Put it on nice stand and its all most will ever need. I like playing my Martin A/E clean it plays very well. Great Purchase from Great dealer.

Great Amp
This really is the perfect amp for a home studio and certainly adequate for a small gig. Super quiet and clean, and sounds great just with the onboard chorus and reverb effects.
RolandJC-22Jazz Chorus amp
When I called Tim Greene of Sweetwater to order another amp. He suggested to look at the Roland with chorus and it is so good! It sounds so smooth with the reverb and chorus! I recommend the Roland.

Thanks, Tim

Amazing
Not much more can be said that hasn't already? It is alien tech clearly? This amp is phenomenal in basically every way possible. From build quality (10) to style (10) to design (10) to sound (11) this amp kills it. Makes me wonder about its bigger brothers'?
It's great for home to smaller gigs. Get for home even if you get the bigger brother for bigger gigs - You gotta have this one either way. It's the best on the market hands down. Buy it or any one in the lineup. Wow.
Super Clean

If you are looking for an amplifier that is easy to transport and super clean, this is what you want. I'm using it with an Ibanez Pat Metheny model and it sounds fantastic. The chorus on this amp is amazing. Big shout out to my Sweetwater main man Alden Debee, this guy is the best.

Simply put, modern electronic music wouldn't exist without Roland. Many of the electronic musicians here at Sweetwater cut our teeth on TR Rhythm machines and fondly remember programming our first TB-303s. We owe a good part of our careers to this amazing and innovative company. It's been fun to watch and grow right alongside Roland, as they've introduced wave after wave of revolutionary keyboards, digital pianos, and more. For example, Roland's V-Drum Kits continuously redefine the possibilities of electronic drums, beginning with SuperNATURAL technology to the latest Prismatic Sound Modeling. We're huge fans, and we'd love to tell you all about them. Whether you want a pocket-sized synth or a cutting-edge video mixer, if Roland makes it, then Sweetwater is 100% behind it.
