The Takamine GN30-CE acoustic-electric guitar benefits from a half-century of Takamine guitar-crafting knowhow. Launched in 1962 at the foot of Japan's Takamine mountains, Takamine has been designing and building acoustic guitars that are seen in the hands of some of music's biggest stars. With quality and value as guiding principles, Takamine's instruments employ the finest tonewoods, construction techniques, and technical innovations such as the proprietary TP-4TD preamp system found in this guitar.

Takamine's TP-4TD preamp system

The GN30-CE sports Takamine's TP-4TD preamp system, giving you rich, clear-sounding amplified output - instantly. A feature of G-Series guitars, the TP-4TD features a gain knob, a tuner, an active shelving EQ with bass, middle, and treble sliders, and a low battery indicator. The preamp is switched on by plugging a standard instrument cable into the endpin/strap pin jack. Unplugging the cable turns the preamp off. The TP-4TD is powered by a single 9 volt battery.

Good Guitar

Really like the GN30CE. It plays well. Totally satisficed with this purchase. Sweetwater did an excellent job in helping me with the order and delivering it on time and in perfect condition. This is my second Takamine and I highly recommend their brand. Normally, the most important about a guitar is it's tone and playability and not appearance. But I have to admit the black is awesome. Love it.

Perfect!!!

Takamine GN30CE

I wanted to play something that sounded professional for recording sessions. I also wanted something comfortable that I could play for hours. The Takamine GN30CE does both without compromise. It is the most comfortable guitar I own right now (though I reserve the right to buy more gear in this maddening effort to own all the guitars). The GN30CE has this clarity that's hard to describe. But as I've been learning fingerstyle recently the Takamine produces exactly the sound I want.
In fact, the onboard electronics allow for a lot of different playing styles and is just one of the many neat features of this guitar. It is also beautiful, especially in black where the rosette shimmers against the dark soundboard. I find myself just looking at it sometimes. I am more than happy with my Sweetwater experience and have been enjoying my Takamine.
Thank you, Jozy Franco, my sales engineer, for understanding what I wanted to do and answering every question I had about the Sweetwater card. Jozy made sure I got what I needed (including some other gear), and he flat out knows what he"s talking about.

Takamine GN30CE

This guitar offers a great tone and an easy fingerboard. The looks are classic and the cutaway style suits my playing perfectly. I was very satisfied with my new guitar, and fell in love right away. The purchase was made to have a good quality instrument that I could take on the road or have available when I was noodling around on tunes........I was surprised to discover that it has now become my GO-TO for both stage and studio. It's no surprise that the team at Sweetwater was top-notch....they always have been!!!! Thanks Jason Kovach for your time and attention.
