Fear the Wrath of the Most Versatile Fuzz Around

Just like some of the legendary fuzz pedals from the '70s — and previous versions of the Fuzz God — the Red Witch Fuzz God IV fuzz pedal delivers some of the most punishing fuzz tones you've ever heard. Building on the sonic flexibility of the previous iteration, the Fuzz God IV features an internal 8-way DIP switch you can use to alter its gain and tone characteristics — with 264 possible settings, there's a universe of fuzz tone to explore! The confrontational Wrath mode is back, and Red Witch has added a germanium-diode Octavia circuit for octave effects. If you haven't been able to find your ideal fuzz tone in other pedals, you're certain to dial it in with the Red Witch Fuzz God IV.

Octavia + Wrath = sonic insanity

The original Fuzz God pedal introduced the Wrath circuit, an oscillator circuit that parasitically attaches itself to your guitar signal for extreme sonic chaos. It's back in the Fuzz God IV, toggled by the far-right footswitch. The middle footswitch — which is slightly raised so it's easier to stomp on accurately — engages the all-new germanium-based Octavia effect that instantly conjures the vibe of '70s rock. Between these two features, it's clear that the Fuzz God IV is not for the faint of heart. Use them both in conjunction, if you dare!

Who needs 264 different flavors of fuzz?

You do, because one of them is exactly what you're searching for. The internal DIP switches inside the Fuzz God IV allow you to fine-tune the gain and tone characteristics to suit your desired guitar, amplifier, and sonic texture. From smooth, singing sustain to sputtery, speaker-tearing textures, you can find the fuzz tone you need with this pedal. Guitarists at Sweetwater recommend setting some time aside to open up the Fuzz God IV and experiment with the switches (a handy guide is included with the pedal). Eventually you'll find the setting that's perfect for your style, and you can close up the pedal and never look back — until your tastes or needs change, of course. Then you can simply experiment with new DIP switch settings until you find your new favorite fuzz flavor of the day.

Red Witch Fuzz God IV Fuzz Pedal Features:

  • Versatile fuzz pedal for electric guitar
  • Crafted with NOS Silicon BC109 transistors and germanium diodes for accurate '70s fuzz sounds
  • Wrath circuit engages a parasitic oscillator that tracks your guitar signal in a chaotic manner
  • Octavia circuit delivers '70s-style octave fuzz effects
  • Middle footswitch is slightly raised, making it easier to toggle with precision
  • Sputter control allows you to create the "dying battery" fuzz effect
  • Internal DIP switches adjust gain and tone characteristics, offering a staggering 264 possible combinations
  • Can nail practically every type of fuzz tone imaginable, from smooth and singing sustain to belligerent octave fuzz to sputtering, speaker-ripping textures

DESERT ISLAND FUZZ PEDAL

There's so much to unpack here. It's literally the last fuzz pedal you will ever buy. Between the dip switches and trip pots, and the ability to toggle in and out of the various DIP settings, my immediate recommendation is to get one of these fuzz babies before they're gone!!

Best and most versatile fuzz pedal in the market

This is absolutely the best fuzz pedal in the market! Super underrated.

It's insane how much you can tweak your fuzz within this one pedal and go between so many different types of usable and practical tones from tame fuzzes into gritty and nasty fuzzes. And if you throw in an overdrive pedal + eq pedal before it into the signal chain, you'll be able to shape how it reacts to your signal even more. I managed to get really nice old school black sabbath tones, atmospheric doom metal tones, octavia, and even some nice modern Doom 2016 OST Mick Gordon tones by feeding sine waves + white noise click samples into this one pedal.

I don't think I'll need to ever purchase a single fuzz pedal after this one!

The only thing keeping me from giving it a perfect 5 star is I think this pedal would better if the DIP switches were more accessible without having to unscrew the back cover. If we could tweak them on the front or the side (Similar design to the Chase Bliss Mood MkII), it would greatly emphasize its best selling point. I also think a blend knob would be nice to have, but not a lot of fuzz pedals come with those.

Overall, I think this is the best and most versatile fuzz pedal you can get in the market! Definitely look into this if you're looking for a fuzz!

Fuzz god indeed.

This is by far the most gnarly fuzz I have personally used. This thing goes from subtle overdrive to rip your face off velcro goodness with just a few tweaks. The octave feature really ads some dimension to sound and tracks perfectly. the Wrath feature is really awesome if you want a drone note in the background when you pause. I found that using a tuner after it to get a specific note is really helpful which is tunable by using the Sputter and Wrath knobs in conjunction to get the note you are looking for. the tweakability of this thing is just ridiculous. The added gain and tone switches are also very useful to get the sound you are looking for.

Awful Quality Control As of May 2022

9v input a dud, power intermittent with slightest movement (tried with dozen cables/supplies/bricks - 100% the pedal). The Wrath switch was at an angle! 75 degrees. They installed it pressing on top of the input jack! The board also looked real messy, burn marks, etc.

Totally inexcusable for the price, I have 20 dollar mini-pedals put together with more care than this.

Get a FF or TB clone with bias/eq mods AND an Octavia clone for this price point. If you like mayhem, stick with a Fuzz Factory. The Wrath deal here is pretty tame in comparison.

Ugh

Used it twice and it quit working, whatever ...
