Red Witch Fuzz God IV Fuzz Pedal Reviews

Fuzz Effects Pedal for Electric Guitar, with Switchable Octavia and Wrath Effects, Sputter Control, and Internal DIP Switches

Just like some of the legendary fuzz pedals from the '70s — and previous versions of the Fuzz God — the Red Witch Fuzz God IV fuzz pedal delivers some of the most punishing fuzz tones you've ever heard. Building on the sonic flexibility of the previous iteration, the Fuzz God IV features an internal 8-way DIP switch you can use to alter its gain and tone characteristics — with 264 possible settings, there's a universe of fuzz tone to explore! The confrontational Wrath mode is back, and Red Witch has added a germanium-diode Octavia circuit for octave effects. If you haven't been able to find your ideal fuzz tone in other pedals, you're certain to dial it in with the Red Witch Fuzz God IV.

Fuzz god indeed.

This is by far the most gnarly fuzz I have personally used. This thing goes from subtle overdrive to rip your face off velcro goodness with just a few tweaks. The octave feature really ads some dimension to sound and tracks perfectly. the Wrath feature is really awesome if you want a drone note in the background when you pause. I found that using a tuner after it to get a specific note is really helpful which is tunable by using the Sputter and Wrath knobs in conjunction to get the note you are looking for. the tweakability of this thing is just ridiculous. The added gain and tone switches are also very useful to get the sound you are looking for.

DESERT ISLAND FUZZ PEDAL

By Seth from Whitson on November 4, 2020 Music Background: Guitar Instructor

There's so much to unpack here. It's literally the last fuzz pedal you will ever buy. Between the dip switches and trip pots, and the ability to toggle in and out of the various DIP settings, my immediate recommendation is to get one of these fuzz babies before they're gone!!

Best and most versatile fuzz pedal in the market

By Sweetwater Customer on April 22, 2023

This is absolutely the best fuzz pedal in the market! Super underrated.

It's insane how much you can tweak your fuzz within this one pedal and go between so many different types of usable and practical tones from tame fuzzes into gritty and nasty fuzzes. And if you throw in an overdrive pedal + eq pedal before it into the signal chain, you'll be able to shape how it reacts to your signal even more. I managed to get really nice old school black sabbath tones, atmospheric doom metal tones, octavia, and even some nice modern Doom 2016 OST Mick Gordon tones by feeding sine waves + white noise click samples into this one pedal.

I don't think I'll need to ever purchase a single fuzz pedal after this one!

The only thing keeping me from giving it a perfect 5 star is I think this pedal would better if the DIP switches were more accessible without having to unscrew the back cover. If we could tweak them on the front or the side (Similar design to the Chase Bliss Mood MkII), it would greatly emphasize its best selling point. I also think a blend knob would be nice to have, but not a lot of fuzz pedals come with those.

Overall, I think this is the best and most versatile fuzz pedal you can get in the market! Definitely look into this if you're looking for a fuzz!

Awful Quality Control As of May 2022

By Sweetwater Customer from Connecticut on May 11, 2022

9v input a dud, power intermittent with slightest movement (tried with dozen cables/supplies/bricks - 100% the pedal). The Wrath switch was at an angle! 75 degrees. They installed it pressing on top of the input jack! The board also looked real messy, burn marks, etc.

Totally inexcusable for the price, I have 20 dollar mini-pedals put together with more care than this.

Get a FF or TB clone with bias/eq mods AND an Octavia clone for this price point. If you like mayhem, stick with a Fuzz Factory. The Wrath deal here is pretty tame in comparison.

Ugh
