It's not flimsy, has good adhesion, good reapplication. In a short time of use I see no residue.

This stuff is great! Much better than masking tape and much heavier. Has vey low residue. I use it on my snake,Mixer, and every where else I need labels.

This is the first time I've ever bought console/mixer tape.
The product description says it's easy to write on with multiple things. Well, I'm here to tell you that out of three ballpoint pens I've tried that work perfectly on on sheets of paper, NONE of them write consistently on the mixer tape. Pencil writes lightly. Sharpie works, but see the next comment.
The writing smears rather easily. Even after ink dries awhile, it wears off pretty quickly as well. Using pencil on it is almost pointless.
Also, unlike the ad copy, the tape DOES tear pretty easily when you don't want it too. I tried using it as labels for my cables, and one has already partly torn after only a few days.
The surface of the tape is pretty much just the same as masking tape. It has a kind of waxy feel.
I was expecting tape with a paper-like surface that would be easy to write on with pretty much anything and on which the writing wouldn't wear off for quite awhile.
This product is decidedly NOT that.
In fact, even tho I've only had this tape under a week, I already am looking at other brands to buy a different roll.
The best I can say about this tape is that it does stick pretty well and doesn't leave a residue. Just like normal painter's masking tape, which is like 1/2 the price.
