Classic Les Paul Styling Gets Modern Appointments

The Epiphone Les Paul Modern takes everything you love about the Les Paul and kicks it up a notch. Featuring a weight-relieved mahogany body, ripping pickups, and versatile switching options, there are tons of reasons to like this guitar. The Asymmetrical SlimTaper neck profile will please you with its comfortable shape and contoured heel joint, while a pair of ProBucker pickups with coil-splitting and phase switching abilities unlock a wide variety of classic and modern tones. Completed by locking tuners, the Epiphone Les Paul Modern is perfect for the player who enjoys the classic look of a Les Paul but demands modern versatility.

Asymmetrical modern neck

The Epiphone Les Paul Modern is outfitted with a mahogany neck with an Asymmetrical SlimTaper neck profile. Guitar players around Sweetwater note that the neck has a "D" shape on the bass side and a flat "C" shape on the treble side. It will comfortably fill your hand no matter whether you play thumb-over or thumb-behind. As you work your way up the neck, you'll have total access to the upper frets, thanks to the contoured heel joint.

Epiphone ProBucker pickups and innovative electronics

The Epiphone Les Paul Modern is outfitted with two Epiphone ProBuckers. These pickups are a modern re-creation of the legendary PAF humbucker and feature the same Alnico II magnets. Characterized by their rich, warm tones and tight bottom end, Epiphone ProBuckers are sure to meet almost any player's need. The Les Paul Modern also has extra switching options that make this an axe of all trades. You get coil splitting, phase inversion, and treble bleed, controlled by push-pull volume and tone pots. These extra options give you a nearly infinite amount of sounds to choose from. From single-coil spank to high output humbucker shred, the Epiphone Les Paul Modern has the tone for you.

Locking Rotomatic tuners

The Les Paul Modern sets itself apart from its contemporaries with Grover Rotomatic tuning machines. One of the most storied names in the world of guitar tuners, Grover has been keeping the world's finest stringed instruments in tune for more than a century. Featuring an 18:1 tuning radio, these tuners will perform to the most stringent tuning requirements without fail. Plus, you get the benefit of easy string changes. All the way down to the tuners, the Epiphone Les Paul Modern has player-centered upgrades that make it a must-have for your collection.

It's amazing!!!

The guitar came to me in a perfect state. I was worried about its condition, but everything was great. Brandon sales manager was very helpful.

Glad I Did!

First things first. I am a Fender Strat guy. Have always been. My American Strat with the Gilmour set up is killer. My go to.
Les Paul's were always to heavy to me. Neck was like a tree trunk to me. One could never dispute the sound though. Enter the Epiphone Les Paul Modern. I researched, watched all the videos, read all the articles. Took a chance and pulled the trigger on the Graphite Black. Straight out of the case the set up was perfect. The day I received it, I played it for the entire night at the club. Actually lighter than my Strat. And the sound. Killer. I could not be happier with the finish, craftsmanship, tone, playability etc.. etc.etc. just a great great guitar. And the price? What more can I say.

Better than guitars twice it’s price

I was in search of a guitar that could pretty much do it all and after a year of research and countless trips to guitar center I decided on this bad boy. I never actually got to play it in store so I really took a gamble when buying it but I knew what I liked and what I wanted spec wise and was willing to take the gamble.
Let me start by saying that this guitar feels better to me than guitars twice to even three times it's price, it's so well constructed, the neck is amazing, it feels like a slim c on top and slim d on the bottom, the gloss finish isn't to thick like on most squiers, it's just really easy to play, you can play quite fast on it, however, not as effortless as you could on a satin neck, you might get hand, the ebony board is also very nice feeling, the frets were perfect and super smooth all the way up the neck, the one I received did have binding issues though which really isn't a big deal because it's aesthetic and doesn't effect playability, the body is solid and doesn't weigh to much, I can easily play standing up without any problems, the knobs are a little flimsy and are difficult to pull but nothing a new set didn't fix.

Now I'll talk about the pick up and tones, the pick ups have so many different tonal options, it can handle just about everything and also can handle a lot of gain, they also clean up so nicely, I can go from really heavy sludge and stoner metal, to punk and indie, shoegaze, pop, rock, thrash and all the way to super soft and clean RNB or jazz. However if you're looking for a really tight and articulate metal guitar you are definitely going to want to change the pick ups in this guitar to bare knuckles, fishman's or emgs, but you might want to look at another guitar because the upper fret access is hard to reach even with the cut out. All in all I love this guitar And highly recommend to first time guitarists who aren't sure what they are looking for or seasoned vets who want a great guitar at an even greater value.

Players Guitar!

The guitar played perfectly right out of the box. The new heel style is superb and very comfortable, I wish that the new upcoming Les Pauls have this new heel style which is for players.
The sound of the original pickups are awesome (I have a Gibson with 57 classics and another Epi with EMGs 57/66 for reference) and covers all styles of music really well so I don't think I need to change them in the future.
The guitar is very light (7 lbs) which is perfect for gigs and long rehearsals so that's a big plus for me and it sustains very well.
This guitar is a great value for the money because you get Grover locking tuners, full maple cap (no veneer), Ebony fretboard, Split coils and a cool natural back which looks amazing combined with the Graphite finish

NICE!!!!

I couldn't believe the sustain of this guitar, top notch workmanship all around, and a great compliment to my Gibson Les Paul
