A Classic Single Cutaway with Rock-solid Tuning Stability

The ESP LTD EC-1000T CTM EverTune is a classic single-cutaway with all the trimmings. This electric guitar boasts a traditional full-thickness, maple-topped mahogany body with set-through construction for maximum resonance and sustain. Its 3-piece mahogany neck is capped by a fast-playing, modern-radius Macassar ebony fingerboard. Discerning tone chasers will appreciate this axe's active Fishman Fluence Classic Humbucker pickups, which conjure up everything from crystal cleans to overdriven crunch and even molten-hot high gain with equal aplomb. And you'll stay in tune longer and with better intonation, thanks to this guitar's EverTune bridge. Custom multi-ply binding and eye-grabbing gold/black hardware round out the LTD EC-1000T CTM EverTune's enviable features.

Single-cut body style blends classic looks with modern performance

Nothing screams hard rock like ESP's LTD Eclipse body style. The extra mass of this single-cutaway design gives the LTD EC-1000T CTM EverTune truly epic sustain, whereas its slightly arched top provides comfortable hand positioning no matter what your playing style. Add to that a super-sharp cutaway for easy access to all 22 frets, and you're equipped for all manner of rock, metal, and shred tones.

Full range of rocking tones courtesy of Fishman

Armed with Fishman Fluence Classic Humbucker pickups, the ESP LTD EC-1000T CTM EverTune yields you three distinct voices capable of practically any humbucker tones imaginable, with a single-coil option for even greater versatility. Voice one is reminiscent of a tried-and-true PAF pickup, complete with the requisite sweetness, warmth, and clear articulation found in many vintage pickups. Kick on the second voice and you’ll be treated to the muscle and girth of a screaming hot-rodded humbucker. The third and newest voicing option offered is that of an overwound single-coil, which boasts an impressively authentic single-coil sound. Best of all, Fishman Fluence humbuckers are noiseless! Their active electronics lets you run hundreds of feet of cable with zero tone loss, with incredibly smooth volume controls. Guitarists at Sweetwater are blown away by the range of sounds that can be milked out of the LTD EC-1000T CTM EverTune, and we're confident that you will be, too.

EverTune bridge ensures rock-solid intonation

The EverTune bridge on the LTD EC-1000T CTM EverTune is a mechanical system that helps you stay in tune under any playing situation. Long-lasting tuning stability and accurate intonation are supplied by small springs that keep consistent tension on your strings. And the tension is adjustable, offering static tuning under any playing conditions or standard performance for string bending and vibrato. Even if you're playing a long gig or recording session, your tuning will be more stable regardless of your playing style, temperature, or other variables.

ESP LTD EC-1000T CTM EverTune Electric Guitar Features:

  • Classic-looking electric guitar with exceptional sustain and flexible tone
  • Thin "U"-shaped profile makes the mahogany neck play fast and smooth
  • Modern 13.77-inch-radius Macassar ebony fingerboard

Why Buy Your Guitar from Sweetwater?

See how Sweetwater goes to great lengths to give you the very best online guitar buying experience. From our online Guitar Gallery that allows you to see and select the exact instrument you want to our 55-point Inspection process and our in-house guitar techs, we take the guesswork out of buying your next guitar online.

What is Demo Gear?

At Sweetwater, we're so picky that what we call a "demo" is actually better than what most music retailers sell as "new" gear! Our gear hasn't endured hundreds of people a week plunking away at all the keyboards, fumbling through Stairway to Heaven on every guitar or playing with every fader and knob on a mixer or control surface.

What demo means to us is that we've had it out of the box, or maybe it was in a customer's hands for a few days and isn't "factory fresh" as a result. Every demo item we sell has Sweetwater's 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty, and has been tested and verified up to "new" specs by our factory-authorized technicians to make sure it's in perfect working order before we ship it to you.

When you buy a Demo item at Sweetwater, you get:
  • 2-year Total Confidence Coverage Warranty™!
  • Products inspected and tested by our factory-authorized techs, guaranteed to function like new (or better)!
  • FREE shipping on most items
  • Equipment that will MEET or EXCEED your expectations!

Brilliantly Spec'd Workhorse

I have thoroughly enjoyed this guitar. I paid for the nut to be upgraded and for plek'ing. Worth every penny. Since the guitar has stainless steel frets I wanted them to be perfect, and they were. Looking for a guitar with Evertune, Fishman Fluence, and stainless steel frets is difficult when you're not trying to spend a lot of money. This guitar delivered what I was looking for in spades. I couldn't be happier with my purchase or with my salesman Camden.

Interesting, but not quite "there" with the Mojo

I will say that if you want a single cut with an Evertune bridge and Fishman Fluence pickups, this model vs. the Epiphone equivalent (Matt Heafy Epiphone), I would recommend this one. The QC seems to be more reliable than what I've had with the 15+ Epiphones I've owned over the years, where some were good, some not as good. But I only have this to compare it to.
The bridge: Interesting design. It's basically spring tension loaded PER STRING, unlike a Floyd Rose, which has a floating bridge for all strings at once. It was a bit of a turd to set up, but after breaking a B string and high E string, I realized that it's best to keep the strings loose until you have the intonation set correctly while in the lower half of Phase 2, THEN start tightening them up lol. It keeps in tune alright, but when the strings settle, it goes into "Phase 2" and I have to crank up the tuning pegs to allow the "Phase 3" activation again. I think the saddles feel very cheap and loose, easily sinking deep into the chamber before requiring some TLC to get it back up to functionality while changing strings. It really lowers the sense of quality by a discernible margin. Bridge rating: 3.5 out of 5.
The Pickups: I don't like the single coil tone on these at all. Basically, it's a waste. The full-on 'modern humbucker' setting is fine, with good articulation, but I think if I were to choose between this and EMG, I'd go EMG. Finally, the PAF tone is pretty decent... but not a real PAF. Close enough to have a throaty grit that approximates the tone, though. I give the pickups a 3.5 out of 5.
The Guitar Itself: I love a single cut with better upper fret access than a classic LP. It's quite striking in appearance. I will replace the knobs with gold ones at some point. The guitar itself is very light, which is weird to me because I have owned several LPs and Epi LPs in the past that weren't chambered. This feels like a chambered body with even LESS weight (which is the case, so they can fit the huge block of space for the EverTune bridge). It's unnervingly light, and in some ways makes it feel less substantial, and even a little "cheaper" in design. It plays well once it's properly set up, though. I give the guitar itself a 4 out of 5 rating.
My background: Been playing since 1992. I have owned over 60 guitars. Was once a Guitar Monster, but these days I just fiddle around a bit. Got this guitar to try out the Evertune bridge.
