Tuner + Volume Pedal

Tuners and volume pedals are two things that guitarists frequently place at the front of their effects chain, so why not combine them and save space? The Ernie Ball VPJR Tuner features the same grade-A design as the company’s other volume pedals, along with a fast, accurate chromatic tuner and a graphic volume display. Besides offering convenience, this pedal is also a godsend to guitarists with long effects chains, thanks to its discrete buffer circuit. The VPJR Tuner boasts a junior-sized chassis that’s built from aircraft-grade aluminum — a benefit, considering that it’s designed to be stomped on. The VPJR Tuner is a killer two-in-one pedal.

Super-responsive tuner with intuitive touchscreen display

The VPJR Tuner’s ultra-precise chromatic tuner includes an attractive graphic volume display and enhanced-definition touchscreen that’s a breeze to navigate. At Sweetwater, we’ve found that no matter where you are — on a dark stage or in direct sunlight — the screen is clearly visible. The screen intelligently toggles between tuner and volume modes depending on your signal level, enabling you to tune at minimal volume. That said, alternate always-on configurations are available with a tap of the touchscreen. The tuner is super responsive and can be calibrated to a wide range of reference pitches.

Flexible volume pedal and high-quality buffer circuit

The VPJR Tuner’s treadle can be routed as a gain control or as a master volume control (depending on your routing), providing you with flexible operation. Its durable PVC-coated braided Kevlar cord offers superior strength and potentiometer traction, which ensures consistent tension throughout its entire range. Beyond that, its rugged, junior-sized chassis boasts tough aircraft-grade aluminum construction that’s immune to enthusiastic foot stomps. The VPJR Tuner features a high-quality buffer circuit that safeguards your signal chain against tone loss, no matter how long it is.

Reviews

Very Impressed
I added this to my front end running through an MXR RR distortion + And MXR 10 band EQ. I like how I can back the volume pedal to 7 or 8 and I still have my distorted sound but when I stop it doesn't scream feedback like MXR+s are famous for. Rhoads mentioned when he was alive how he'd back off with his Roland volume pedal or the distortion + would feedback. It's range is so much more of a larger span too then my guitar's POT. Whatever your needs are, this volume pedal is most impressive.
Music background: 40 years rockin guitarist.
Grt pedal
Love the fact that it's a built-in tuner with letters I can actually see
Ernie Ball VPJR Pedal
The VPJR volume/tuner pedal is exactly as advertised. It is accurate in tuning mode, easy to use, and the display is very large and easy to see. By combining volume and tuning into one pedal I was able to reduce the footprint of my bass pedal set-up.

Earnie s on the ball with this pedal
Easy to read from the ground. Easy to use, very accurate tuner. I would recommend to any serious musician
Music background: Guitar teacher 42 years playing
Excellent pedal tuner
I am very happy with the pedal, though I wish it was smaller. My band mates are very jealous of it. The tuner is bright and large and I have hope that it will be visible in full sun. I love the volume level so that I can return to my preferred level after tuning. I do think the tuner is a little slower than my Korg stomp, but I'm getting used to it.
