It became a regular during his live performances during the early and mid-'70s, no doubt because the Dove’s Sitka spruce top and maple back and sides offer a powerful, cutting strumming tone that the King favored. As with all things Elvis, this Dove is dripping with style: the stark ebony finish highlights the mother-of-pearl dove inlays in the bridge and gold-plated Grover Keystone tuners on the headstock.
