Perfect

After doing a little research I decided to try this pedal and it has become my favorite distortion, and it's good for pushing my Flatiron fuzz too. Very nice note definition while playing chords, and a creamy lead tone that still cuts through. It's got a sound in the ballpark of a Rat and a Distortion +

Mxr Distortion

Probably the best Distortion pedal especially for the money. More like an overdrive with a little something extra. Simplistic and does not degrade tone. Great for harmonics as well. No harshness or lingering overtones. Add a TS9 Tune screamer and it's magical. Great job MXR. Thank you Sweetwater for the great Customer service and phone follow ups. You have set a standard that others can't live up to.

Outstanding!

I was shocked when I first played through this pedal, it really sounds more like an overdrive than distortion to me, and an outstanding overdrive at that. Especially for the price, this can't be beat. Very amp-like dynamics and surprisingly quiet for how much overdrive-distortion-crunch it's capable of. It won't go all the way to modern high gain, but gets to about 80's cranked JCM800 crunch. I like this pedal better than some $200-range overdrive-distortion pedals I own. Can't recommend highly enough

If you can't rock with this pedal, you should sell your guitar on ebay. Or craigslist. Nuff said.
