All the trigger inputs you need to control a complete kit

By nature, the DDTi isn't a terribly complex device. It offers you a total of 10 trigger inputs on 1/4" TRS connectors, accommodating virtually every single- or dual-zone drum pad or acoustic drum trigger you'll find at Sweetwater. What's more, the DDTi is compatible with most hi-hat controllers, offering you both simple on/off (closed/open) and continuously variable control to best fit the rest of your rig.

Plenty of configuration options provide the flexibility you need

There are a ton of different drum pads and triggers to choose from, and drum software, synths, and sound modules all behave a bit differently. That's why it's such a good thing that the DDTi is so flexible. You can customizable the trigger settings, defining the sensitivity, MIDI channels and note assignment, crosstalk, threshold, and even the trigger time of each individual pad or trigger. There are 20 programmable preset slots too, so you can save and recall your settings when you move from setup to setup.

USB and MIDI connectivity

Thanks to the ddrum DDTi's selection of outputs, you can use it with pretty much any hardware or software you want. Direct USB out provides you with plug-and-play compatibility with your favorite virtual instrument drums on your Mac or Windows PC. Alternatively, you can use the 5-pin MIDI output to connect your DDTi to any MIDI-equipped sound module or synth, making it an ideal tool for live performance.

What is Demo Gear?

At Sweetwater, we're so picky that what we call a "demo" is actually better than what most music retailers sell as "new" gear! Our gear hasn't endured hundreds of people a week plunking away at all the keyboards, fumbling through Stairway to Heaven on every guitar or playing with every fader and knob on a mixer or control surface.

What demo means to us is that we've had it out of the box, or maybe it was in a customer's hands for a few days and isn't "factory fresh" as a result. Every demo item we sell has Sweetwater's 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty, and has been tested and verified up to "new" specs by our factory-authorized technicians to make sure it's in perfect working order before we ship it to you.

When you buy a Demo item at Sweetwater, you get:
  • 2-year Total Confidence Coverage Warranty™!
  • Products inspected and tested by our factory-authorized techs, guaranteed to function like new (or better)!
  • FREE shipping on most items
  • Equipment that will MEET or EXCEED your expectations!

Nice upgrade from the old Alesis Trigger iO---faster & more responsive; bailed me out!

My MegaDrum drum trigger interface suffered a MIDI-spaz freakout, and this interface has bailed me out.

I'm a former 'Alesis Trigger iO' owner, so I knew how to use this and what it could do. However, this new updated 2023 unit from DDrum is indeed better than the Alesis Trigger iO----it's faster; zero latency for me using 32GB RAM on a Lenovo T460 laptop. I think that the new microprocessor chips that they use now on most circuit boards have made huge gains in just the last 3 or 4 years. I read a few other online reviews on this unit and this thing WORKS for me 100% with Windows 10 right out of the box. A few people online have been worried about that. I use Reaper and it recognized it right away in the device list as "ddti".

Awesome

DIY triggers, mesh heads, selected the correct type of trigger, opened my DAW(with ezdrummer 2, and it worked! Didn't really mess with the settings, went from press roll to rim shot, and no false/retriggering issues. Great solution to a number of problems that drummers have with acoustic kits.

A MUST HAVE IF YOU USE ELECTRONIC DRUM SETS

Fortunately it has 10 1/4 in. TRS inputs so my DIY/roland Hybrid electronic drum set is hooked into Superior Drummer. No Mic'ing of drums or cymbals! You have it all right there. Get this if you use an electronic drum set and then get Superior Drummer or BFD3 or one of the other drum software. All you do is connect it via USB from the trigger i/o to your computer and it shows up and works. I love it. Oh and get roland TRS cables. I find those work the best. Quality is important. I have 1 snare, 1 kick, 1 crash, 1 hi-hat, 4 toms, 2 rides = totaling 10 trigger inputs which is perfect for my needs.

Awesome!!

I bought this for an electronic kit I built by coverting an acoustic kit. I couldn't find mention of this trigger interface in any of the diy edrums forums. All anyone talked about was the Alesis trigger I/O which is almost identical to this module. I'm glad I went with the ddrum over scouring eBay for an Alesis. The ddrum has all dual zone inputs so you can get a bit more capability out of it. I bought Steven Slate drums after receiving the ddrum trigger interface and now I have access to about 100 different types of drum kits right in my home studio without being loud or changing anything other than a click of a mouse.
