By nature, the DDTi isn't a terribly complex device. It offers you a total of 10 trigger inputs on 1/4" TRS connectors, accommodating virtually every single- or dual-zone drum pad or acoustic drum trigger you'll find at Sweetwater. What's more, the DDTi is compatible with most hi-hat controllers, offering you both simple on/off (closed/open) and continuously variable control to best fit the rest of your rig.
Plenty of configuration options provide the flexibility you needThere are a ton of different drum pads and triggers to choose from, and drum software, synths, and sound modules all behave a bit differently. That's why it's such a good thing that the DDTi is so flexible. You can customizable the trigger settings, defining the sensitivity, MIDI channels and note assignment, crosstalk, threshold, and even the trigger time of each individual pad or trigger. There are 20 programmable preset slots too, so you can save and recall your settings when you move from setup to setup.
USB and MIDI connectivityThanks to the ddrum DDTi's selection of outputs, you can use it with pretty much any hardware or software you want. Direct USB out provides you with plug-and-play compatibility with your favorite virtual instrument drums on your Mac or Windows PC. Alternatively, you can use the 5-pin MIDI output to connect your DDTi to any MIDI-equipped sound module or synth, making it an ideal tool for live performance.
