Fantastic capo

I was looking for a low profile capo that didn't make my guitar go out of tune. This is the one!

Music background: Professional musician and teacher

My first capo

I got yo use on my PRS SE 277 Baritone guitar. This small capo fits perfectly. and it can easily be moved out of the way above the nut to be stored there. It requires a hard twist with the clamping screw when used. It should be placed in the far left of the fret space where it is less likely crowd the fingers. The stainless sides can potentially rub up against the neck and damage it. I think this can happen if you are in a hurry and use only one hand which would let it twist and touch the neck This is a two hand only device that works perfectly when placed properly.

Fantastic, under-appreciated capo.

This capo is Daddario's affordable alternative to the Waverly capo. Like the Waverly, it fits vintage guitar necks, specifically wide, deep v necks, where side-pull capos pull the guitar out of tune. But it is an improvement for any guitar. This beauty is designed to be lightweight and stone accurate. I'd never go back to a Shubb or Kaiser after owning this fine piece of gear.

Pretty good

This style of capo is probably the most used design by Bluegrass guitar players. Bluegrass guitar players are notorious for using mostly open G and C chord shapes for all the usual keys; so the capo is an essential item. It stores attached to the neck just behind the guitar nut and can be clamped just behind--almost on top of--a fret; tightening it up causes little to no intonation problems. The piece that tightens on the back of the neck could be redesigned to conform to the shape of the neck better; it concentrates all the pressure in a rather small spot which could cause the wood and/or finish to deform a bit. (Thus only 4 stars.) It'd be a good idea to add a little more padding to the neck clamping piece. Otherwise, it's a very good capo. I've enjoyed using it for the last month or so.

Nice Capo.. Price not so much

I buy a lot of D'Addario gear, especially strings. I have some of their other capos (lower price range) so I decided to pick up the cradle capo. It's built well enough, works fine but at the price point, seems a little bit too much.
D'Addario makes great, quality gear.. so the star missing is only due to price point.
