Transmit Four Channels of Analog Audio Via Cat 5
The Radial Catapult TX4 is an ingenious invention. When combined with the Catapult RX4, it enables you to transform a standard Cat 5 cable into a 4-channel line-level analog snake. Simply connect a shielded Cat 5 cable between the two modules, and they’ll use the analog conductors in the cable to deliver four balanced audio lines to whatever destination you choose. At Sweetwater, we’ve used the TX4 to transmit audio via a building’s pre-existing Ethernet network, with no digital conversion necessary. You can put a performer, mic, and preamp in one room, and send the signal to your DAW in a completely different room. Sending audio between two distant locations has never been easier!
