I am using my SM58 for a podcast and wanted a better way than cranking my Scarlett 2i4 gain all the way up. After doing some research I made the investment into the Cloudlifter CL1. The mic sounds like it has life! This upgrade makes it easier to process the recordings now that I have a higher audio level. Plus, I don't have to talk directly in to the mic, which adds more clarity because I can appropriately talk at 4 inches off of the mic. In summary, prior to the Cloudlifter upgrade I had my input knob on my Scarlett interface all the way up. Now, I am just about half way and it doesn't look like I'm eating my microphone. The bundle with the cables is great, too. I needed an extra cable for my set-up. I definitely recommend this product if your dynamic microphone's volume is too low with a normal connection to your interface. You'll save with the bundle and the cables are high quality.

I wanted to buy an SM7B and read the reviews that recommended also purchasing the CL1. I was skeptical that this little device would make that much of a difference but man was I wrong! This thing brought the SM7B to life! I couldn't imagine using the SM7B (or similar dynamic mics) without the CL1. It is a must have for vocal, voice-over, or broadcasting applications. You won't regret getting this little guy!

I barrowed a cloud lifter off of a friend of mine and couldn't believe the difference this little blue guy did for my Shure SM7B so I talked with my sales engineer… You've heard the Share SM7B hundreds of times... Aside from being a very widely-used mic for broadcast, the Shure SM7B is all over the best selling record ever made, Michael Jackson's, "Thriller." Bruce Swedien, who engineered the album, said: "When we were doing "Off The Wall", "Thriller," and "Bad" and here at Harborboy Recording Studio we have one of these Microphones and love it. And now I will have the cloud lifter to add to the SM7B
