Outfitted with TAMA’s proprietary Grooved Straight Hoop, you’ll receive the expert tuning stability of a multi-flange design and the open feel that comes from a single flange hoop. Coming armed with Freedom Lugs and claw hooks, replacing heads in a pinch is a cinch. Just loosen the tension rods, tilt the claw hooks backwards, and quickly throw on your backup drumhead — all without removing the tension rods!
Control is key for comfort and reliability onstage, which in turn improves your performance. And nothing gives you more control than the “Linear Drive” Strainer that adorns this Starphonic. Deploying the strainer and regulating the lever adjustment arm has never been easier, enabling and disabling the snares with haste and in silence for seamless onstage operation when it matters most. Also, the 30-degree tilt of the butt plate not only ensures a firm grasp on the wires, but it also simultaneously reduces pressure on the shell and strainer.

The Starphonic Bubinga Bravura Concert Snare additionally features TAMA's exclusive Multi Snare Frame system. This design allows the snares to be held straight off of the bearing edge of the shell, supplying the optimal degree of snare response. Small adjustment wheels allow you to fine-tune each of the three sets of wires to precisely tone-match every performance.
