The C414 XLII emulates the spatial reproduction capability of the legendary AKG C12 microphone, while introducing some astonishing additional features. In addition to the warmth, clarity, and presence of the C12, the C414 XLII has nine settings with selectors located on the housing (rather than being remotely selectable) for choosing an appropriate polar pattern. The C414 XLII's lock mode disables all controls for live sound applications or permanent installations, and you also get three discrete low-cut filters to clean up your audio.
