A Tweed-covered Blues Junior

The Fender Blues Junior combo amplifier is more than just a 15-watt tube amp — it's a vintage tone machine! Complete with a stylish lacquered tweed covering, this amp will floor you with its depth of character. Three 12AX7s and a pair of EL84s powering a Jensen C12-N speaker give you everything from crystalline Fender cleans to crispy crunch to growling overdrive. Plug in, fire it up, and prepare to be blown away by the Fender Blues Junior combo amplifier!

Lacquered tweed styling makes this amp look as good as it sounds

Fender's Blues Junior amp has the kind of stunning good looks that make you wonder why guitarists buy amps dressed in basic black. You'll love its vintage looks and upgraded Jensen C12-N speaker that adds a vintage touch to the overall tone profile. Though it possesses a simple control layout, its touch sensitivity is off the charts, offering a highly dynamic range of tones with your guitar's volume knob.

The Blues Junior is fitted with a genuine Fender spring reverb — arguably one of the most authentic reverb units that's a favorite among Sweetwater's vintage amp players. This easily portable and great-sounding combo is one of those amps you form a special attachment to (you know, the one you always grab for club dates). Throw it in the backseat and go! The Blues Junior Lacquered Tweed amp is ready to rock whenever you are.

Fender Blues Junior Features:

  • 12-in. Jensen C12-N speaker provides vintage-inspired tones
  • Lacquered tweed finish gives this amp a stylish, vintage look
  • 15W tube power amp sports 2 EL84 tubes and 3 x 12AX7 preamp tubes
  • Shock absorbers mounted on the power tubes reduce rattle during transport and operation
  • Fat boost switch and genuine spring reverb provide a wide range of tonal character
  • Sparkle circuit mod promotes authentic crystalline Fender clean tones
  • Chrome control panel with front-reading text for easy readability

C 4 dynamite!!
For a small, single 12" speaker, this lil tube amp has an amazing dirty sound, or clear guitar pick-up sound and really dials in my Strat! They even look great together with that retro-tweed!
Music background: Picking her up n puttin her down for over 30 yrs ! Try to keep er in my hands....

Great Small Gig Amp and TONS of TONE!
I just purchased this amp for an outdoor gig with a full band and where two other guitarists on stage were using VibroLux 40w amps (one vintage, one reissue)and this thing was able to hold its own! Granted the other amps were not fully dialed in volume-wise, but the Blues Junior cut through the band mix like a light saber through a wampa's arm.

With a Strat this thing is super "chimey" and quacky as you'd like to get.
With an LP (P90 in the neck, Filter-Tron in the bridge), I am able to get an array of tones that ranged from thick and full to hot and searing.

The amp takes pedals really well.

I get what people say about the "boxy" sound that it has but I feel its the amp's signature and should be embraced. Definitely not a bad thing when you need to cut through a band mix but if you're a bedroom rocker or want it for home practicing, then maybe you'd want a different sound.

Vintage sound, Vintage looks!
Exactly what I wanted and expected from Fender and Sweetwater. I love the tones and the looks of this little amp, just what I need and wanted. It arrived packed securely in a Fender box. Unlike all of my other Sweetwater deliveries this delivery took about a week thru Fed Ex, not sure why. The Blues Jr. Is a great match for my Esquire and my Teles.
Music background: Play guitar and drums. Have dabbled in banjo and mandolin.

My first tube amp
This is my first tube amp and I am really happy with my purchase! It looks great, sounds even better and gives me the tones I was looking for. Big shout out to Kevin and the Sweetwater team for the always excellent service!

great amp!
excellent sound, just like you would expect from an all tube fender. the reverb is superb. i love the tweed and this 15 watt amp is gig worthy for sure. plenty of headroom, great for small to medium sized venues and you could always mike it for a bigger room. my litmus test is "would i buy it again?" absolutely, if i came home and it was gone i would call Ivan Salazar, my sales engineer and order another right away.
absolutely recommend this amp.
