Explore New Sonic Possibilities

The Schecter Banshee Mach-7 is intended for the player who isn't afraid to explore new sonic textures. This 7-string solidbody has a maple/purpleheart neck-through construction with a compound-radius fingerboard and was designed to be the most versatile extended-range Banshee in Schecter's catalog. It's loaded with two tonally diverse humbucking pickups. In the neck position, a Sustainiac holds onto notes as long as you want, while a boisterous Lundgren M7 bridge pickup pumps out high-output goodness. For your dive-bombing pleasure, this axe has been outfitted with a Floyd Rose 1500 locking tremolo bridge that ensures you're always in tune. If you're looking for heavy tones and incredible tonal variety, the Schecter Banshee Mach-7 is a clear choice.

Neck-through construction boosts sustain

To provide you with the best playing experience possible, Schecter designed the Banshee Mach-7 with neck-through construction. Made with alternating plies of maple and purpleheart, the neck provides you with incredible stability and a boost in sustain. You'll find that your notes sustain a little longer and that the body resonates more than usual. The neck is capped with a compound-radius fingerboard with 24 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets that are perfect for huge bends and blazing-fast licks. On either side of the neck, two swamp ash wings and an eye-catching flamed maple veneer round out the rest of the body.

Sustainiac neck pickup brings the noise

For unending sustain and almost unlimited creative potential, Schecter added a Sustainiac pickup in the neck position. When engaged, the Sustainiac gives you the option to have a fundamental note ring forth indefinitely or add harmonic feedback to your signal. The Sustainiac system has two mini-toggle controls. The first turns the system on and off, while the second provides you with a 3-way switch to choose between Fundamental, Mix, and Harmonic modes. For the adventurous player, there's simply no substitute for a Sustainiac pickup.

Lundgren bridge pickup brings the ruckus

Guitar fanatics at Sweetwater know that pickup selection is crucial, especially if you're planning to tune down. You'll be happy to know that the Banshee Mach-7 is loaded with a pair of Lundgren M7 humbucking pickups. Used by artists including Meshuggah and Ghost, these pickups sit in the sweet spot between knockout power and incredible note definition. With the boosted clarity, you'll find that the M7's sound tight and vicious even in the lowest tunings.

Floyd Rose 1500 does your dive-bombs justice

This version of the Mach-7 is equipped with a Floyd Rose 1500 Tremolo bridge. The Floyd Rose 1500 is made from stainless steel to add extra sonic oomph and carries a custom knife edge for improved tuning stability after deep dive-bombs. You'll be perfectly in tune, no matter what sort of Floyd tricks you can pull off. Whether you're adding subtle and expressive vibrato or really leaning into the bar, the Floyd Rose 1500 will easily keep up.

Schecter Banshee Mach-7 Solidbody Electric Guitar Features:

  • Neck-through body design boosts sustain
  • Sustainiac system adds 3 modes of unending sustain

Banshee Mach 7 FRS

I see why they call it a banshee this thing SCREAAMSS!
I almost went with the Apocalypse C-7 because I've had one before and loved it but I am so glad I decided on this instead. Don't get me wrong the Apocalypse 7 pickups on the Apocalypse c7 sounds amazing, but there's just something different about these Lundgren 7 pickups. They seem tighter and deeper than the Apocalypse 7s but with plenty of high end screaming and squealing when you want it. Can't say enough about this guitar. I waited almost a week after receiving it to really test her out and already put about 20 hours of play onto it and can really say it's the best guitar I've played so far.
The craftsmanship is absolutely flawless on this one. No marks, glue, or anything and I don't even have the words for how good the neck and frets feel. I got the fret plek treatment done on it and you can really feel a difference. Stainless steel frets are great on their own but with the plek service it's a whole new level. The neck is an ultra thin U shape and I was hesitant about it because I've only played C shape necks and loved them. But this Ultra thin U takes the cake and feels better in my hands than anything.
I really can't say anything negative about this guitar. The sustainiac works great and I've had a ton of fun creatively with it and has inspired me to start writing a couple songs.

I want to give a special shout-out to my sweetwater agent Derek Schweizer for putting up with me and my somewhat I indecisiveness at times haha. I can be picky when it comes to spending this much $$. Thank you Derek for all your help and your expertise with instruments and also helping me pick strings. The Daddario Exl 110-7 feel perfect with this guitar. He's a great salesman with loads of patience and knowledge and never makes you feel rushed to buy or any kind of pressure. Thanks a lot my man for everything. Sweetwater has another buyer for life here.

Amazing guitar

I've played a lot of guitars in my life and have owned a couple Ibanez 7 string through the years. So I was looking for a new mid priced 7 string with good pickups a Floyd rose and kept coming back to Schecter. My only gripe with most Schecters is I prefer a really thin neck like my Ibanez guitars had. I'm not talking about width but the thickness from fretboard to back of the neck. Im a fast player and I like a fast flat neck and the Banshee Mach 7 delivers. A lot thinner then the Omens, Hellraisers, and Apocalypse guitars. Those guitars are great but not the thin neck I prefer. The scale length on this guitar is important as well. What's the point of a 7 string guitar if that Low B string flops around and doesn't hold a true note when you hit it open. The finish on this guitar is amazing. I love the satin finish. It looks great and feels amazing in your hands plus the body doesn't show smudges like gloss finishes do. This looks and more importantly feels and plays like a guitar costing twice as much. The lundgren bridge pickup sounds killer. Nice and tight good for not only metal but anything in between. The sustainiac is cool but I may eventually switch it out for a humbucker. It is a noiseless single coil that sounds great when not using the sustainer. This guitar sounds amazing. It sounds great unplugged. You can feel the vibration in your hands very well. The neck thru is nice and slim when it meets the body so no difficulty reaching the highest frets. This isn't a light guitar either. Not as heavy as a Les Paul but it is solid and substantial. I can find no fault in this instrument. It plays amazingly, has great hardware/pickups. The wood looks top notch, fit and finish is great and just sounds really really good. I love playing it. The action came out of the box perfect. You could go a little lower if you wanted to though but not much. Like I said it's nice and low already set up for a fast playing experience. You will not regret buying this guitar. You can also get it with out a floating bridge and in different pickup combinations so you can have one with the equipment you prefer. A word on Sweetwater. This is the 1st time I have made a purchase with them and it was a unexpectedly pleasant experience. They reached out to me after the purchase and got to know me just a bit. Tyler Lamb the sales engineer that called me was knowledgeable and not overbearing. He wasn't trying to sale me anything just start a business relationship. I actually made another purchase about a week later and went back to Sweetwater because it almost had that same feeling of going to the guitar store and getting to know the staff that was always enjoyable back in the day. Anyway buy this guitar you will be happy you did.

Outstanding Guitar Model!

My first 7 String and love everything about this guitar! Flawless really!
So funny story. I have another similar 6 string Schecter FR-S. Of course wanting to test the Sustainer pickup I start hitting and sustaining some long notes.
Notes are sustaining, but not quite at the intensity I was expecting based on my other guitar.
A bit befuddled I continue testing with the same result, notes are sustaining and sustaining and sustaining, but not with the intensity I was expecting.
THEN, I realize. In my moving around, I had accidentally turned off the Sustainer on/off switch!
All this sustain I have been hearing is the natural resonance and sustain from the build of the guitar! AMAZING!

Hats off to the Schecter team and their designer for this model. Out of the box the guitar is a 10 out of 10. Tone wood compliment, hardware, pickups, finish, frets, weight, balance, setup, the overall feel of the guitar, and the tones, all are win in my book! I have guitars from PRS to ESP, Fender and Gibson, Jackson, Ibanez and more. Schecter these days is really firing on all pistons and producing some amazing guitars! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Not just a good guitar..a Great guitar

This is such a fantastic Metal guitar. It plays great, and sounds great. Excellent build quality. It's also a pretty heavy guitar, which surprised me, but it makes me feel at home after playing my Les Paul. It's a shredding Metal machine. Thank you Codie for the assist!
