Multi Snare Frame
Tama’s patented Multi Snare Frame enables the snares to come straight of the bearing edge, promoting optimal sensitivity. Small adjustment wheels allow precise tuning for each of the three different sets of snares: nickel wound guitar strings, black nylon coated stainless steel, and uncoated stainless steel (6 strands of each). These work in tandem to create a complex, articulate drum that answers at any dynamic level.
Grooved Straight Hoop
Another patented Tama creation, the Grooved Straight Hoop combines the trim profile of a single-flange hoop with the solid tuning capabilities of a multi-flange hoop, effectively maximizing this drum’s playing surface while stabilizing its tone. From pianissimo to fortissimo, this drum sounds clean and consistent.
Freedom Lug and Claw Hook
Finally, Tama’s patented Freedom Lug and Claw Hook is a quick release system which enables you to change drumheads without needing to actually remove all of the tension rods from the lugs. This greatly simplifies and speeds up the process of replacing drumheads.
