TC Electronic Afterglow Chorus Pedal

I played with these two pedals last night, The Prophet came in a few days ago, and the Afterglow came in Thursday, both these pedals are good for their price, and both are a solid build and will make a nice addition to anyone's pedalboard that can't afford the more costly pedals...

Solid Pedal

I recently started to expand the sound capabilities of my rig and decided to try out a chorus pedal. I didn't want to spend a ton of money on a pedal that I may only use for specific instances since I'm mainly on my overdrive channel of my amp. This fit the bill perfectly. The build quality is awesome. I really like how it looks on my board. Having all the jacks on the top makes it easy to fit in without taking up too much space. These are pretty large pedals so real estate is key for bigger rigs.

As for the sound, it sounds like a chorus. It's not going to blow you away like some of the more expensive pedals, but if you are just looking to dip your toe into the chorus waters like myself, this is a no brainer. It is a little noisy from what I can tell, which is to be expected from an all analog piece of gear. Make sure you have a gate if you want to have a quiet rig.

For $, it's a solid first chorus pedal. If you are on a tight budget, it'll do the job. I'll probably upgrade it down the road to one of the higher budget pedals, but for now, it is exactly what I need.

Nice Chorus pedal, great value!

I needed a chorus pedal to add some variations in my acoustic pedalboard and this one fit the bill. Has a traditional chorus sound which was exactly what I wanted without the extra frills of more expensive pedals. TC makes good stuff and this pedal didn't disappoint.

That analog sound!

I grew up in the late 70s/early 90s and this is the chorus sound heard on so many songs of the day. I had no trouble dialing in the rate and depth I wanted without it sounding muddy or overly wet like other analog chorus pedals. It also plays very well with my DS1 without me having to tweak both pedals. If you want that retro 80s sound, this fits the bill perfectly. If you're after a more crystal clear chorus, you won't like it and should get a digital pedal
